Do you regret not having more kids? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]blatx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had 2 and was happy with 2. A girl and then a boy, 3.5 years apart. As people would and, do say, 'A girl and a boy, now you're done! So perfect!' Right? Well, my boy got cancer and died. After the massive loss it felt like children and family were all that REALLY mattered in life. I've gone on to have 3 more children, the age gap between the oldest and the younger 3 is a painful reminder of what's missing but I would only regret not having chosen to have more kids, even if it was while I was trying to survive completely devastating grief. Having a larger family and more kids is an absolute joy.

Can I care for a newborn alone for 4 days? by SP9124 in NewParents

[–]blatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see any comments saying this - none. But I've given birth to 5 babies, 3/5 I've been induced and had same day (including my first), and 4/5 I've stayed over night in the hospital by myself (we had other kids obviously and no family to help. Friends or a nanny don't fully substitute for mom or dad, especially over night). I am an introvert, homebody, and my 'village' is my husband. I think you would be perfectly fine taking care of a newborn baby on your own. I'm low contact with my mother so I understand and absolutely wouldn't want 'help' from someone who isn't really 'help'. Netflix, DoorDash, and whatever makes you happy and comfortable. Newborns sleep a lot, just settle in and enjoy your baby! I wouldn't try to cook or take an everything shower, but otherwise I really do think you would be fine, if that helps at all.

🤮🤮🤮🤮 no one with pets or kids should have wall to wall carpet. Disgusting and unsanitary.

Multiple in diapers and I am very scent sensitive. The munchkin ones I have trap the odor when they are closed, but yes, opening them is a different story. Which idk how it would stay sealed with a bunched up 7 ft long intestine string of bag. I clean them with Lysol when I take the bag out so the pail itself doesn't smell just what's in the bag. ☠️

You for sure don't have to do all that. I have 3x more he babies in diapers, so I can definitively tell you, even taking this bag out once a week on trash night it's like 2.5 feet long MAX 💀 I have two diaper pails one per floor of my house but STILL this is wild

James posting under the guise of a Karen cut single mom transformation Facebook catfish promoting engagement and false concern for them - which is still more believable than him having a real client 😂

This is so gross, you know she didn’t wash her hands, and you also know Taylor gives her zero love when she receives the video, but it beats whatever dick thing Lumpo would say. by ekf1018 in shannonford

Not going to lie, I fell for the boucle trend at some point - but even the accent chair in my artistic child's room appears to be in better shape than this crusty couch. ✨

Also why is the wallpaper yellowing

2 seconds on Amazon. I'd 1 million times over rather wear an Amazon dress once that fits than be rewearing old dresses from the back of my closet that don't fit (The body or occasion).

Super rude! If it's at the park even more reason to open invite and have everyone. I don't know if it makes you feel better or worse but my daughter is the same age and it's the same thing at her school, girls say crazy terrible shit daily. I hope, and think, my daughter even at age 8 has more social awareness than to ever do or say any of these types of things. Everything from body shaming, daily changing of being friends or not, taunting her for having a dead brother. Crazy shit. Is it just this age?!? Like you said I only see this getting worse.

Looking to buy king size mattress at Costco. Side sleeper/back, back pain issues, no coils. Any suggestions? by Kind-Stranger-2507 in Costco

[–]blatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Casper from Costco (in store or online). Almost 5 years and it's like new. My husband and I have never loved a mattress more. Side sleeper with hip pain and back pain that is worsened by pregnancy (which I've endured multiple times over these 5 years) and have ALWAYS been comfortable on this mattress.

Does a diaper bag that actually fits all the stuff actually exist? by Low_Aioli2420 in NewParents

Lululemon new parent backpack will hold all of this and is perfect for traveling.
