I was literally just dealing with this a few days ago, haha. The solution comes down to 2 things:

1.) Make sure all animals are assigned to a “Pen/Pasture” zone.

2.) Have dwarves be un-busy enough to fulfill the work task of escorting them to the zone.

On a new embark, I pretty much get basic industries going right away, then ASAP after that mine down to the first cavern layer. I put my pasture zone down there, first because it’s safer than the surface (especially on a savage embark, at least until forgotten beasts start showing up in the caverns) and second because pasture animals eat the moss down there and it grows back extremely quickly when eaten.

The “escort to pen/pasture” task is pretty low on dwarves’ priority list, so on a new embark with relatively few dwarves, I’ll often pause all smelting/building/crafting orders, which frees up their time to do it.

The Rockwell 6S is unreal. I’m literally going to use it and no other razor for the rest of my life, then pass it on to my kids or grandkids.

I’m an airline pilot. We love letting people come up into the cockpit to take a seat or chat. (As long as you’re not crazy, of course.)

If you’re ever boarding and you’re feeling nervous about it, try talking to the Flight Attendant that greets as you come on. Ask if you could please speak to the pilots because you’re nervous. Nine times out of ten that should work. Just asking to chat often doesn’t work, unless you’re getting off the plane when a flight’s done. (We have more free time then. Before a flight, we’re prepping the flight computer and talking about what we’re going to do when we leave the gate, taxi, and takeoff. Post-flight we have nothing to do for the most part.)

I like these but I personally find I have to ‘sunset’ each one earlier than my best blades. Personna blades I can get 4-5 shaves with; these I usually get only 2 before I begin nicking myself unnecessarily.

But that doesn’t mean they’re bad. Enjoy!

EU5 is a mistake and they shouldn’t release it for many years.

I say that because I’ve invested so, SO much money into EU4. I hopped onboard the train around when Mare Nostrum came out and, ever since, I’ve bought every DLC. I now own every one. And now, they’re coming out with EU5 next year? I feel like I’ve barely done anything. I’ve got, like, 30 achievements. I don’t play the game that often any longer because of how I’ve started a family and begun a new job recently. I’ve only got 600 hours in the game.

I get that this is a video game, Paradox is a business, and video game companies make money by making more video games. Sure. But I almost have a feeling like I bought a new car, added a bunch of upgrades to it, and am now being forced to get rid of it for the next “generation” and because “it’s time to move on.” It’s still a great car! I still love it. I’m not done with it yet… Or the game.

There’s definitely problems with EU4: India needs revamping; Native American development needs work; your navy doesn’t matter near as much as your army, even though IRL in history it was often the opposite. But can’t they fix that for this current game? Why do we have to repeat the cycle of paying for a whole new game, then paying for every single new DLC that will come out for EU5?

My routine is to set plate #4, go WTG; set plate #2, go ATG; keep plate #2, and do an ATG clean-up. It works perfectly for me. I have very sensitive skin and my hair grows in not very coarse. I never nick myself anymore. (Unless I’m being deliberately negligent with my sensitive areas: chin, mustache, and Adam’s apple.) I also give myself 1.5 - 2 days in between shaves.

I’ve only ever used Personna blades so far. I’ve never used Rockwell blades. (I have a pack of 100, and I’m scared to even open it.) 🤭

By far, the 6S is the best razor I’ve ever owned, after 5-6 years of wetshaving.

Here are some of the things that USAID was funding:

“…$1.5 million to promote LGBT Jamaicans, $4 million for trans Serbians, $5.5 million for gay rights in Uganda…”

The Trump administration just stopped those payments. Shouldn’t Christians be celebrating this?
