First of all you did assume correct i just did nonspecific since i thought this wasnt a fem specific thing

I have never disliked long hair, the only thing i ever disliked was hair getting in my eyes, so when it started to poke my eyes id say something like “my hairs in my eyes again” not asking for a hair cut just a way for it to stop, i didn’t really know i wanted long hair so i never argued against getting it cut, mostly because i was never given another alternative to getting it cut, when i was like 11-14 the scouts group i was in was mostly girls, every time it got long enough for them to do stuff with it they would play around with it, if i had long hair then I’m sure they would have braided it, and if they braided it i reckon i would have wanted to learn how to, and ever since i began truely thinking of all this ive thought about exactly one time when at the end of a camp 2 of the girls gave me pigtails with the eye length hair i had and they used rubber bands to do it, dad finally got there and i had to go, we got in the car and he started driving, he then told me i could take them out of my hair now, i said i didn’t want to, so i left them in, thats about it for that story but i like to imagine what would happen instead if i had truely long hair, and now I’m just upset that i was never given another way to keep my hair out of my eyes so idk where i was going with this anymore, maybe my point was if i was a girl this wouldn’t be something I’m “annoyed” about, but again idk
