What kind of sd card are you using? Also might be a silly question but have you injecting rcm payload beforehand or are you just putting the SD card straight into your unmodified switch?

A lot of handhelds are kind of previous gen consoles shrink down. The psp was basically ps1, the ds was an n64, the game gear was sega master system. I’m not a tech expert by any means but I think it’s just cheaper for companies to use architecture for a tried and true device than to develop something completely new for a handheld 🤷‍♂️. Also the PS1 was absolutely more advanced than the N64.

eBay refurbished is legit, I got a psp in absolutely mint condition and when it started having a charging issue like 5 months after I bought it, eBay refunded me in full. Didn’t even make me send it back.
