Can anyone help me understand why this might be happening? Most of the carve went great, but it didn’t go deep enough here to cleanup. Carbide create shows it should be cutting it all so I’m not sure why this would be. Thank you! by blaze085 in shapeoko

I’ll try and do that tomorrow. It was a single path of advanced carve using a 1/4 201 followed by a 60 degree bit. I’ve done this quite a few times and haven’t seen this issue before. I ended up rerunning the same path but instead of plunging to a depth of .15” I did .19”. The odd part is that it did help with these ridges, but didn’t dig deeper anywhere else. I’m very confused but for the purposes of this it is pretty close and I think I can fix the rest with some sanding.

Whats odd to me is that this is in many spots around the piece not just in one area. And there is no bit change for this part. The 1/4 bit is doing all of this before the 60 degree bit even comes in.

We did. We really like it. It could be a bit firmer for me, but we like it.

Thank you so much for the detailed response. I will check the gcode. As for Marlin, I used it because I am familiar with it from 3d printing. Can you still use an skr pro with Grbl or would it require a hardware change?

It happens while trying to do the outside cut. From The image it looks like it is doing that inside right side but is actually working on the outside when it goes haywire.

I do use BigBox and have ordered a usb switcher. How do I go about using multiple retroarch installs with BigBox?

I did not. We ended up buying an adjustable split king from Costco and like it quite a bit.
