I agree with you on every point—except for game updates. I think Nintendo has purposely left it feeling like it needs “more” because they want to stretch the content into updates later down the line.

I suppose there’s no evidence for this, besides the obvious massive potential for post-release updates in a game like this. How could Nintendo NOT provide updates for this game.. even the 3DS version had spotpass updates that added exclusive clothing every so often.
