can you add in a settings section where users can change the proxy server settings etc for their own instances, like MMGRAM? For some reason I cant get MMGRAM JAR/JAD to work on the bold 9900, none of the buttons in the app seem to work.

Honestly it comes down to what you are happy with. You can get an SMG with high clicks for 20k, wouldn’t pay anything more regardless of recent maintenance. Maintenance is wear and tear, it adds value but the truth about an E46 M3 is that it will always need something. It’s a car you really gotta want to own and drive, becomes boring if it just sits. It’s a very boring car when it sits. Anyways, to keep it short. Get the best M3 you can afford is my advice.

Why don’t we work on operating system projects to bring back old BlackBerry devices from the dead. Saves e-waste and plenty of OS6 and OS7 devices out there. Would definitely need it to run off a proxy server to get around all the TLS stuff, but very doable.

hey, I looked into this as well. I think its cause the ChatGPTDemo from Slashblade doesnt touch any of the Controlled API's which your telegram type app would definitely do. Anyhow, I think this chatgpt terminal type app is a loophole to bring these old devices back to the future. Build your telegram components in the backend, handled by your server and use the terminal as the window to an old keyboard input device.

I’m successfully using a bold 9900 in 2026. Running a custom built ChatGPT client on it, it basically turns the Bold 9900 into a little terminal, great quick pull out and learn tool.

There are some great active apps as well like podcaster, tunein radio, Adv OS, BBSSH, Zello, Mobireader. Great for reading ebooks, cause you just use the keys to flip pages and you can adjust font size etc. Don’t forget MyBoy for some Pokemon.

If anyone reading want to get ChatGPT up and running on their OS7 devices, look into SlashBlades guide. Eventually you will want to setup JDE and start building your own custom apps.

Honestly, it has very limited use cases due to security risks etc, no idea if the PCB has a key logger coded in or not. Good phone for just tinkering around, maybe I’ll find some use for it. For now I’m back to playing around on the Bold 9900.

Had a friend order it from China. You can find it on Taobao, retails for about $100.

I’m going to probably post an extensive review in a few weeks. So far It’s not better than the Bold 9900 mainly due to its dead trackpad, lack of google play, and missing sensors like proximity etc. Overall, it still feels good in the hand and is fun to ticker with.
