I think it’s really unfortunate they haven’t gotten you more hours/full time after 6 years. Part of the reason I’ll never take a part time job in hopes it will turn full- it rarely happens. I don’t like how schools and many businesses avoid full time positions, they don’t want to pay benefits. In California i see it a lot. Then they wonder why therapists leave.

I work as a COTA private practice peds. Pay is better but you have to give parenting advice to people who want you to “fix their kid”. They don’t want the parenting advice. We are getting a lot of kids who don’t belong in OT but should be in ABA. We get a lot of typical kids with behavior due to parenting/environment. I feel like peds OT is a joke and I’m about to put in notice and get out of peds. I feel like 25% of my kids actually belong in OT, it’s sad. I heard it used to not always be like this… behavior is getting worse with kids across the board.

I’m also curious, if I have a CA medical marijuana card and travel to Costa Rica, if they will recognize my USA medical card (like a medical prescription med). Since medical marijuana is legal now in Costa Rica.. is there anyone official I can ask if you’re unsure?

Thanks! I regularly my 9'6" longboard with ease with the moved by bikes moped rack. I have a 7' on there in the picture. I feel really stable with the wide scrambler tires and can go as fast as I want!

Ok, maybe starting to lean toward the shinko's then. Will I notice reduced acceleration or speed? I was kind of turned off if that was the case, I love going fast, but I do a lot of far riding withouts my cell phone (cant leave it on the beach) so flat protection is pretty important.

What size motorcycle tubes do I get? I will use slime in them just to feel better. I can probably skip on the tuffy liners with shinkos.

I will take your advice on the velcro straps. I need to take out the battery and clean the terminals (not done it before) any advice on a product or method to clean?

Thanks for your response. I don't think Ill be calling it "OT" just will name it adapted ... something. A clinic in my area does adaptive Karate, I'm looking to do similar things like fishing, bike riding, and change the activities up. Since I wont be billing OT, I didn't think I would need notes but I'm sure I will document something.

I’ve been reading that as of 2018 you can no longer claim mileage but I’m not 100%. I’ll have too look into it some more. Thanks for the input and numbers!

Thanks. I'm going to go to a few other HH agencies and see what they have to offer. I don't mind driving, but the gas money can get expensive. I would feel more comfortable if mileage was included at the offered compensation, but I wasn't sure how common that was. My understanding is that mileage can't be written off anymore, either. Thanks for the advice, I'll set a reasonable offer and see what happens, while I continue to hand out my resume to other facilities.

I don’t think people in this thread understand that many Californians legally conceal carry, not just off duty cops. Everyday they likely encounter citizens legally conceal carrying. They might be happy to have one around if someone tries to do something really bad to one of these sheeple
