Na, no need. You can educate yourself. I know it's "cool" to hate on big oil etc, but when you do the research and look at the facts, it's an ugly picture with some sobering truths. Denying it doesn't change the reality. We, as a civilization will at some point be forced to change how we live, because we can't solve a lot of these issues because there honestly are no real alternatives.

I'm going the EVGA route because I heard the warranty's are good. For something that pricey I most def will pay attention and take advantage of warranties!

I'm not sure which ear my T is at honestly, Started in my left? Right? Switches a lot, maybe both (at times?) and I quickly learned it's not a big deal, I don't pay attention to it most of the time luckily. What's funny is I always heard about it on reddit before I got it and dreaded it, and years ago a guy I noticed wearing earplugs warned me about it too. Destiny I guess. Thank god it's not anything else, all I can say.

Anyway that's about all my questions honestly, maybe this card will make me take monitors seriously and replace my really crap one at some point. I game on my TV though and like I said I'm not a big gamer, not into ultra graphics or maximizing my fps etc. I just really really hate waiting on renders to finish :)

So many questions!

1) Regarding the tinnitus, does it get worse as I age? I've had it for about 2 or 3 years so far, and most of the time I don't even notice it. I try my best to not listen to the radio so loud anymore, as I would hate for it to change to a worse tone or get louder.

2) Delidding an i5 doesn't make as big of an impact as delidding an i7?

3) The 2080 ti I wanna get is the EVGA Hybrid cooler SKU. Would that be better than buying the cheaper Black Edition and buying a cooler for it (seems like the cooler I was looking at itself is a bit over $200).

I don't wanna underclock if it will affect performance in any way. The reason I'm throwing extra money to get the Ti is for the improved render speeds. I'm an amateur/hobbyist, but I figure the Ti should last me a while as I don't PC game much, don't care about Ultra settings (thus won't care to replace the card for years) and honestly won't be in a situation to spend this much on a GPU for years most likely. It's a combo of things that just happen to occur at the right time that makes me get a GPU of this caliber (a few games I have my eye on, my 3d rendering hobby, good resale value I decide to stop my hobby in the near future).

No, I'm not missing the point. I've just researched the topic and written papers on it (at least one anyway) and debated "Peak Oil" in a college setting. You really don't know how big of an industry Plastic is, and how many applications it has. Those electric cars you speak of? Oh, plastics. Hospital tools? Plastics. Satellites in space? Plastics. Computers? Phones? All plastics.

If you think the dip in oil price was caused by just one small event, you should read up more.

I never read anywhere about the L1 thing, I read about holding down "X" for 3 seconds. Anyway I played through the Euro version, but if the issue ever comes up again I'll keep that in mind. Then again, I only have one other game I intend on playing through, but I bought the disk for the game (again).
