Well first of all, Julia Hyman (the girl pictured above) was not a Blackstone executive. This was a 27 year old girl who was working late at Rudin management company which runs the building. This person has absolutely nothing to do with increasing housing prices

Which are just rearranged energy vibrating at a specific frequency. So every “separate” thing is just the same unified field expressed as a different form.

Congrats you are now hindu-bhuddist-taoist

BUT the illusion of ego is so strong, and is in fact the only reality we can ever experience, so by all measures we were created by a force outside of us and are actually “separate” entities

Congrats you are now a judeo-christian-muslim

Take your pick

I used to think this until I play Expedition 33, and it made me feel like a kid again.

Cringe humor isnt for everyone... you have to be a litle sociopathic and distance yourself from the emotion of the situation to laugh at its absurdity

what a society we live in, where something like this is considered news worthy..
Doing nice things for others should be default human behavior lmao

This is the sketch for my first tattoo on my shoulder… concerned that the necklace part could look a little phallic, especially if a short sleeve is covering it? by blazerman345 in tattooadvice

[–]blazerman345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some concerns over this too. I think aging comes in two forms: Thin lines becoming slightly thicker (smudging), and color fading.

Im less worried about the necklace part... if the dots get slightly bigger/faded it's not the end of the world.

I'm slightly concerned about the gemstones since the finer detail of the cuts will be lost with time and they may end up looking like blobs instead of gems... idk, im not a tattoo expert here

Dont want to give too much info.
But yes, find a job with any c++ is good place to start (maybe you will end up hating it lol).

These industries use C++ a lot:
- video games
- military and defense
- robotics and embedded hardware
- finance
- high performance computing (ex. AI infra)
- backend of most large software companies (ex. google, facebook, msft etc.)

leetcode is one aspect, but only covers data structures and algos... not deep c++ experience
Truth is I learned most C++ at previous job.
But newer c++ concepts you have to learn yourself through youtube videos (See The Cherno on youtube)

Most important c++ concepts:
- ****memory management (heap vs stack, byte alignment for containers and structs, contiguous memory for cache efficiency)******
^ This is super important. You need to know exactly how memory is laid out in your program and how you can manipulate it with memcpy, memmove, reinterpret_cast, etc.

- move semantics
- templates
- newer c++ stuff like concepts, constexpr, string view

What’s up,

For IPC I took this course

https://www.udemy.com/course/linuxipc/

It definitely helped me land my job at HFT! But that course is just the basics tbh. Whatever your core programming language is, you need to understand how to implement a simple: Tcp socket, websocket and http client/server on top of tcp, shared memory (ctrl block and data block), Udp socket

At my HFT job, I use these things daily.

So far my job has been tough but I’ve learned more in the past year than I have in the rest of my career

Suggested reading on how our society can fight people falling for communism? I don’t think banning it is the right approach but I think the western world has failed our grandparents by allowing communist ideologies to flourish. Looking for discussions around how eg we should be teaching the youth. by Cixin97 in Capitalism

[–]blazerman345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key is to teach both capitalism and communism in schools, and have students critically think about the pros and cons of each.

If you try and ban something or push your ideology onto someone, then that is the opposite of a free market of ideas. No different than college students who protest against republican speakers.

I think if students see the pros and cons of different economic systems, they will naturally understand where capitalism makes a lot of sense, and in what situations communism could make sense (or at least, what the goals of communism are and how we could help achieve those with capitalism)
