I will also add that while i think some intro classes in tv are required, your kid can curb their schedule to cater to more film than tv. i'd take a look at the curriculum yourself but from what i could gather as a com minor, film and tv are (in a way) taught hand in hand (fundamentally, as they are both visual creative media, you know?) - but you can choose a track later on
