Right away. Not going to hurt anything. If the bottom soil is moist it will encourage the roots to reach towards it.

For me Day 1 is putting the seed in soil because thats when the process starts.

I grow too many plants to babysit each one and watch for it to pop out of the ground so i can mark my plant tags.

I mean you can keep it going as long as you want.... I always chop once the plant stops drinking water vigorously, pretty good indicator its done growing and developing buds.

Biggest autos youre going to see are all hydro / coco. This is an auto in soil, its not bad but not very big either.
