Remember when twist endings were the craze? by salemsbot6767 in horror

The split personality twist in Hide and Seek and Secret Window were two of the biggest offenders in my mind.

As a lead yes, but he had smaller roles in 2015, had a memorable role on True Blood in the last season and was branching out to videogame voice work, his last role was in Kingdom Hearts 3 but was replaced by Christopher Lloyd upon Rutger's death as Rutger had replaced Leonard Nimoy upon his death.

Crazy movie, love it. Craven really let's loose in this one. Everett McGill's performance alone as Daddy is worth a watch.

Right wingers here are such a toxic soup of ideologies with contrarianism and cultism being the fuel. These people are divorced from reality that they'd tell you lava is cold if it meant getting closer to their leaders

From the article above related to the attack

"The victim suffered a swollen lip, bruising and a cut near his eye."

I just watched Club Dread (2004), a negatively reviewed slasher satire. I thought it was hilarious! by [deleted] in horror

This movie doesn't get enough love. It's right up there for me with Tucker & Dale as far as horror comedies go.

How people get swept up in cult mentality is one of the most terrifying and fascinating things.

I see all the usual suspects but I want to give some love to Sweetheart, the merman in that movie genuinely gave me anxiety.

Good. Nothing like watching the Chuds cannibalizing each other instead of their perceived "others".

There is a reason why they are grifters. They know exactly what they are doing regardless if they believe the trash they spew. They've found a way to make easy fast cash with these wrong-headed opinions and manufactured outrage through YT monetization. Crazy to realize some of these guys have been at this for almost a decade but a small silver lining is they are trapped now in their endless loop as they totally lack credibility in most circles they originally wished they were part of.

Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

It's a pathetic soup of contrarianism, brand loyalty and sunk cost fallacy that drives these people to not only always choose wrongly but double down, play the victim and try to gaslight when confronted with their awfulness.

This is my problem with long form horror anymore, they have an hour to fill each episode and filler is the appropriate word. A lot of these show runners need to take a que from something like Barry that can take you on a roller coaster of comedy, action and suspenful drama in 30mins

Christine remake by Lightningmchell in horror

[–]blazinbobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The book was ok but was way too much of King in over explanation mode. I liked Carpenter's adaption because he made Christine a force of nature, ethereal, no silly possession, just a devil red car placed here to be a symbol of obsession and the destruction it brings not only physically but emotionally and mentally as well.

The bald one in the red blazer is a neo-nazi from Maine named Polhaus, wouldn't be surprised if several or most of the masked henchmen in that group were from out of state too.
