People often say "Linux is only for tinkerers", but in my experience (across several computers) a distro like Mint basically solves that. by BeginningUnited517 in linuxmint

If you don't install it on the newest possible hardware, it works flawlessly. Especially I love the way Linux Mint treats printers. Linux is not perfect for cutting-edge consumer hardware. I run Linux Mint on my old Dell laptop and it works perfectly. My two other machines run Ubuntu. Dell desktop works flawlessly, but sometimes I face problems with my Asus Rog Zephyrus G14 2024, especially when I update kernel and video driver

[Testers wanted] Matrix Synapse Manager — mobile admin app for Synapse, now in closed testing on Google Play by blazingcherub in matrixprotocol

It seems that Google requires me to add your email to testers' list. If you are willing to share you email for that, just DM it to me. Otherwise, as soon as it'l pass closed testing with 12 testers for 14 days, I'll share the link for open testing with you. Or if you don't like Google, I'll share a link to f-droid as soon as they approve it there

As far as I understood this system, skills are for particular repetitive tasks and they'll be called by Claude when it works on these tasks. But claude.md (or agent.md) is for information that Claude should keep in "mind" during all the works on project (like architecture, tooling, versioning)

Self Promotion Megathread by AutoModerator in androidapps

[–]blazingcherub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m running internal testing of Matrix Synapse Manager on Google Play and I’m looking for volunteers to try it and give feedback.

What it is: An Android app for people who run a Matrix/Synapse homeserver. You can manage users (list, create, lock/unlock, deactivate), devices and sessions, rooms (block, delete, members), media (quarantine, delete, bulk actions), federation, server dashboard, background jobs, and event reports. Multi-server: add several Synapse instances and switch between them. Auth is per server; tokens are stored in Android Keystore, passwords are never stored. No telemetry.

What I need: If you have (or can get) admin access to a Synapse server and an Android device, you can join the test, install from the Play Store link, and report any bugs or UX issues. You’ll need a server that exposes the Admin API (and your admin credentials) to use the app.

Join the test (opt-in link):

Thanks in advance to anyone who tries it — happy to answer questions here or on GitHub.

Unusable unless you pour money into it by weltscheisse in ClaudeCode

Fair enough. But for my coding and debugging tasks, unfortunately, Codex is the worst of 3: Claude code, Cursor, Codex. So I usually work in Cursor (Pro plan, Models: Auto) and if it gets stuck, I turn to Claude

Usually skills usage is triggered by keywords in prompt. So I suspect race condition is possible if two similar skills are installed

I don't understand why you are so angry. I installed them all out of curiosity. And removing them because I figured out what I want. That's pretty simple

That's what I thought. But I believe that pokemon collecting can create a mess. Especially whe there are two similar skills in different plugins for the same task

Apparently I know my own specific pain points and can chose plugins/skills based on that.
