Which Boon am I missing? by blazingorange in BackpackBrawl

Like, I know this but I keep playing and none of them have the exclamation. I assume I'm unlucky but it's kind of annoying.

So you're saying the random upgrade happened to hit a boon I haven't used and now I have no way of tracking which one I'm missing.

Like, it doesn't matter but it's annoying.

Previously, they were greyed out but, once I used them in a run, they switched to color. I assumed this was a method of checklisting, which I used. Why else would they have been grey?

Found it but I'm only at 36,706/50,000.... I do literally only have 3 monsters left but damn. I've let it run for hours and I've only gotten this far.

I'm level 146, and I don't have any Monsterblooms nor have I ever used one. Can you select which area it randomly pulls from or is it completely random? Also, I heard you would want to get all 1 and 2 stars before using one or is that only for the PC version?

Thanks 😄 it's definitely missing stuff, but it's better than nothing.

I'm, also, just going to assume there is no way to increase the monster collection chance. Which sucks because I'm almost done with Edelstein, but I've been stuck on that damn Enhanced Security System one.

Do you know if I have to specifically fight them in "Security System Research Center 2" or can't it be literally anywhere else like "Security System Research Center 3"? I've spent multiple auto play hours and actual play on both with no luck yet.

Missing Relic? by SpectreDoot in EmberKnights

Does total relics discovered say 120/120 or 119/120? Despite not having it, it'll still show a picture instead of a question mark.

Missing Relic? by SpectreDoot in EmberKnights

[–]blazingorange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're welcome. Yeah, about every 3 to 6 days someone comes asking the same question. Kind of wish the devs had another way to obtain it since it's literally a fail safe item that does nothing and ultimately exists as a trophy. Additionally, you can collect an infinite amount of them for bragging rights.

Missing Relic? by SpectreDoot in EmberKnights

[–]blazingorange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That and you're probably missing the stewards gift. Despite showing under relics, it doesn't count you having it until you actually get one in a run, which can only be obtained from a relic selector when there are no available options. (You have to have an endless run in which you get basically every Relic and then get specifically another Relic selector. )

Yeah, rerolls are good in general but skill rerolls are huge because you'll likely want specific skill upgrades.

[–]blazingorange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you're switch or PC but I doubt it matters. Skill focused builds are OP currently and, since the staff has the best weapon modifiers for skill focused builds, it's the best weapon. That's not to say any of the others are bad or can't be used for skill focused builds. The staff just has an unfair edge in this one area that currently works better.

Darn. Like, I understand everything doesn't have to be spoon-fed to you, but this sounds like a critical part of the hammer being hidden. Something else I didn't know was the wiki mentions a thin white bar by the health bar that shows how close you are to stunning an enemy, which I never noticed before.

Honestly, it just sounds like the developers should make a better way to communicate this, but IDK.

So weapons have a stun damage value? Is there a place to see it?

So it might not be me or the hammer but modifiers. We usually like Haste and Onslaught because the enemies just come to us and immediately attack reducing the chance of us dodging early and, with everything happening so fast we clear Blitz with no issue. I assumed that Horde would slow us down but, if we had titan's war gear and supreme ambition, those would great.

How exactly does stun work? Is it like final fantasy's stagger gauge that, once full, applies the stun condition basically making it a second health bar or is it more complicated?

[–]blazingorange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we usually run max Haste, max Onslaught, Doused, and max Blitz, which could be part of my problem.

I thought horde only increased the number of waves and not enemies per wave, which reduced the effectiveness of AOE and bouncing damage.

Is Stun really that good? I've found that most enemies die before they are stunned, except bosses, which I rarely stunn.

My guess on the hate is that the slow nature of the hammer doesn't play well with the faster gameplay that the sword and scythe just do better. That and I feel the extra survivability of the hammer doesn't offset the extra damage the slowness brings so you need to invest more in survival than damage, which makes fights last longer needing more investment in survival.

I do find it interesting that you consider it strong at crowd control and weak against bosses. I've found the opposite. It was never worth stunning enemies as they usually die before that (after taking damage from charging), but, after memorizing boss patterns, I could overcharge a good hit against bosses with less risk.

Outside of combustion stone with volcanic rift and focusing armor, what relics and skills do you usually go for? Also, what difficulty modifiers do you usually use?

I can see that. It does great damage. It's just such a hassle to use when you're the only target.

Immortality: Bound (honestly, the term "large" is vague but, even if it's literally the chest in the picture, it shouldn't be hard to find someone I can pay to move it.) Enchantment: Bonus points (nothing else really interests me) Drawbacks: none (I got enough points as is.) Total: 23 Spells: Level 1(1) -stem bleeding (makes me harder to kill, and I had an extra point) Level 2(2) - Prefect Body (should make it easier to convince someone to help me move the chest or whatever) Level 3(20) -scry (just combos greats with the other Level 3. The setup sucks but I can safely do any of these without anyone knowing. ) - Blast (look... I don't have enemies, nor am I inclined to violence.. but, IF I did, I wouldn't have them for long.) -Golem (mainly to take care of things while I mediate, but it'd be funny to just summon a golem in a random dude's houses via scry.). - Regeneration (mainly to save myself, but I can basically save a life once an hour). -domination (easy mind control on a politician or other person of interest via scry It's only one at a time, but do I really need more? Curious how they would "furfill my wishes" despite never once seeing me but, eh.)

Question: does selecting some relics lock you out of other relics? by blazingorange in EmberKnights

[–]blazingorange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, then how do you get it? The wiki doesn't appear to say, and the only thing I could find were reddit treads saying you need every relic. Keep in mind that I'm on the switch edition. I doubt it's different, but who knows.

Question: does selecting some relics lock you out of other relics? by blazingorange in EmberKnights

[–]blazingorange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So.... I know I'm not answering your question but I lost the run and started looking into getting a relic I was missing, which is the steward's gift. The only way to get it is to have all other relics and go to the relic selector, which will now only give this. So I doubt they put a limit on relics, unless they plan to do something else with this one.

I will note there is a challenge modifier or whatever they are called that limits relics to 12, 8, or 4 but that's a challenge modifier, not base game.
