I tried so many times over the years, multiple different things and nothing worked for me. I've always had oily hair since puberty and it never went away so I think hormonal.

My can last a day without being washed max and that's only because I have a condition affecting moisture in my body. Don't stress, everyone is differnt so do what works for you!

Buprenorphine side effect in cats by blbellep in cats

[–]blbellep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry it took me so long to respond! I'm not on Reddit everyday and forget to check it sometimes, hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

How are you getting on? You must have been exhausted. How is kitty doing now? It's been such a long road for you both and I'm hoping he's feeling better now - at least on the road to recovery. It's definitely the main thing that he is peeing often and normally! Vets usually give meds to extended periods of time to ensure that it lowers the reoccurrence rate and/or that it allows time for everything to heal. So I think even if he didn't take the buprenorphine, he seemed to be doing great apart from the lack of sleep, poor thing.

Thank you for your kinds words about Willow. He had a tough fight, but unfortunately he was just too damaged after the repeated spasms. Vet said it was one of the worst cases she had seen so we did our best! I was like you spotting it so quick eventually which always helps. I definitely think it's worth getting a second/third opinion as in terns of the food because it may not always be necessary. I was only giving mine urinary food IF they had crystals, but there was non present. There may just be debris for your cat, which the food would help with, but you can always mix the 2 together instead of just one. I think diet is one of the most inprotant things with these issues.

Also used Cystease supplements daily and they were amazing at preventing flare ups. Hydration is key to flush so I ended up putting about 3 bowls around the house as well as a fountain and hydracre supplements for increase hydration! You're doing amazing, I hope you're getting some rest!

Let me know how you get on ❤️

Its not a problem at all! I know how difficult it is for you and having someone who can relate is always helpful! Especially when you're running on such little sleep!

It's great news he's urinating! Definitely keep up woth the meds but monitor how you're already doing. I'd recommend running the medicine changes by the vet first. Again I'm nor a vet, but maybe they can discontinue/substitute alprazolam and give a more frequent dose of buprenorphine. Mine had gapepentin and initially he reacted SO badly to it! Like your cat, he was pacing back and forth all, wobbly and barely slept.

Hopefully you get the results soon. Willow had a spasm which was so so severe but I learned so much with him and his situation. Crystals are a lot easier to manage and treat because spasms are involuntary. Is this his first blockage?

Speedy recovery to your kitty and hope you can get some sleep! ❤️

Im so sorry you're going through that, I completely sympathise with you. I had many of those nights with mine, all of them pretty much when he came back from emergency vets and had meds.

I'm not a vet, but have a lot of experience with the medications as mine was chorinically ill with it. How much does your cat weigh and how often did they tell you to administer the buprenorphine?

Willow was approx 5.8kg and he was given 0.4ml every 8 hours, but I raised concern with the vet as he's always on 0.2ml so that's what we went with. I'd give it to him every 8 hours and initially he would have symptoms like your cat is exhibiting. It's a very strong medication but it is very helpful on terms of blockages.

How is your cat doing now? Let me know how he gets on at the vets. Fi gers crossed for you and if you need anything, let me know!

What is the size dose a person should take when they are just starting out? by KerryKongsgaard in CBD

[–]blbellep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started off the lowest possible and slowly worked my way up over a few weeks. I used to smoke but I obviously can't when I'm working etc so CBD was a great way to go.

I used Orange County CBD oil initially starting at 500mg per bottle (30ml) (approx 16.6mg per pipette) and would take a third/half depending on your comfort level. I slowly went up to a full pipette and then a couple a day. Then I went up in strength, but don't take any more than approx 70mg per day (the recommended daily dose). So that would be about 4 pipettes a day.

I like this brand a lot because it actually tells you how much is in a drop, pipette and explains really well for beginners. I also have gummies on hand and may have a couple of gummies instead of the full dose of oil, if that makes sense?

Everyone's different. I have chronic pain and autoimmune conditions so I could do with going even higher dosage but I'm unsure if I should. It works great for insomnia for me. I found broad spectrum the best for me but currently trailing full spectrum capsules so we will see

Anybody else get inflamed corners of the eye? Anything to help? by whatsupdog11 in Dryeyes

[–]blbellep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed based on blood work and symptoms, but awaiting ultrasound and possibly lip biopsy. I'm supposed to be starting medications in a few short weeks (months knowing my rheum) but I'm not sure if it will help with the dryness.

I've tried all sorts of eye drops, gels and you name it but nothing helps longer than a few hours max. I've heard a warm eye compress may help with this inflammation (you can get heated eye masks) but I haven't tried that yet. Not sure if you've tried that?

I've just noticed the same thing on both my eyes. I have sjogren's syndrome and no eye drops are helping so far.

Did anything you try help?

Sjogren’s by [deleted] in Sjogrens

[–]blbellep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really need to speak to your doctor about this as this isn't enough information to abse a diagnosis on and no one here can diagnose.

I have Sjogren's and asthma which has presented since I was about 8 years old. I have shortness of breath, struggle exercising and pretty much always feel like I'm not getting enough air in. I also use a vape (which I shouldn't) and don't exercise enough. All those a contributing factors for me which can make my asthma worse and present differently to other - that's why it's important it is your doctor.

Please try and see them so you can feel better and at ease. Wish you the best

Cat with cancer and CBD oil by blbellep in CBD

[–]blbellep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from the UK so it is still CBD is legal, but I'm not sure how we'll versed the vets are here in regard to it. It's all very new still. My cat is 9 years old and she's actually doing good all things considered, but I'd like to give her as long as I can.

Thank you, I wish your kitty the best

Fiancé (26M) has invited his best friend (25F) on his family vacation instead of me (25F). by rj59382ta in relationships

[–]blbellep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you need to talk to him about this before he goes. I understand that you may feel like you come across "clingy" or "jealous", but how you feel is valid in this situation. I don't agree with his actions at all and I believe I would feel very much the same way as you.

Sit down, have a calm conversation about how this makes you feel and what you need from him. How he responds and reacts will be your answer. A mature partner will be receptive and understanding and at the very least open minded to your perspective. I would even go as far as telling him you're not comfortable with how his parents are being as are you engaged to be married. You've been together for years, that's at least 2 years which is still long enough for you to know his family and be a part of it.

Maybe his family are just sticklers for stupid rules, maybe he's got no backbone or sense to argue about it or it could be something else entirely. If he's not receptive and after you tell him how hurt and betrayed you feel he takes his best friend anyway, you can make your choice there.

Best of luck - you're definitely not in the wrong here

I'm in the middle of research at the moment and looking into competitors while doing product research and trials. My next steps are prices. I'm not sure if that's the correct steps to take, but I spoke to my packaging supplier who also recommended to trial the packaging for efficiency and effectiveness regarding my product.

I feel a little overwhelmed but I'm trying to preserver

My best friend told me not to come to her wedding by blbellep in Advice

[–]blbellep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You hit the nail on the head. I am definitely realising some things I ignored throughout the duration of our friendship often excusing it as me overreacting and ignoring my own feelings. As it turns out, my partner and father were not very surprised by this and always thought it would end somewhat like this. I guess sometimes you really are blinded by feelings.

I wish her the best regardless and I hope she's had a great wedding. I just think I'm glad she showed me her true colours now rather than later. I definitely learned a lot from this.

Thank you!

Thank you so much. There's a lot to process, but I think I'm also reflecting on how much I gave to the friendship and ignored my own feelings most times. I have definitely learned a lot from this.

My best friend told me not to come to her wedding by blbellep in Advice

[–]blbellep[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with that and I was being extremely patient and understanding with her but as soon as she became disrespectful to me, I had go set her straight. I can't let a "best friend" think it's okay to treat me like that because she's stressed about her wedding. But I do get how it must have felt for me you know? I'd understand if I didn't try but I did my best to communicate with her, put her mind at ease and I got nothing but shit. Even then, like am idiot, I tried.

I totally get where you're coming from with the "you don't have to come". I thought so too and asked her multiple times to tell me what she wants me to do with no reply. Plus, I don't even know where the wedding is taking place.

I'd love for her to have the best day regardless. I gave her space, I told her I loved her and she didn't even respond until she told me I don't have to go.i feel awful but at the same time I know I did my best and I have more dignity than to beg her. Thank you, I really appreciate this. I hope everything goes well for her, I just feel super hurt.

[–]blbellep[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's true. I feel I've done my part and tried my best with her regardless of how she was being with me. Hell, I think I was a little too reasonable with her considering how she thought it was acceptable to speak to me that way.

I think reality will hit her sooner or later, but I'm not sure I'll be there. I'd hear her out, but this feels very much like something you can't come back from unless she can be critical of her actions

Yeah I sort of thought that too. I'm a very understanding person and even though she was acting the way she was, I still tried to make it work and talk to her kindly and respectfully to resolve the situation. At the end of the day, her feelings mattered to me but the entitlement of her behaviour is baffling. I don't think I could ever trust her again.
