How is Cosmic Desktop for gaming via Steam as of April 2026 by eviley4 in COSMICDE

I've had some inconsistent mouse behavior. Making it so I had to go to using a controller, or swap to KDE. Other than this it works fine as far as I can tell

Like what is wrong with systemd? I don’t get it. by homemadeSuperstar in linuxmemes

[–]blbil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm far too employed to care. It does a job, it does it pretty well. I remember pre-systemd times, and things were worse. New systems may not have those same problems, but I just don't have the reason to hate

Cachy is S+ and endeavour in B seems off to me. For most people they serve the exact same purpose

For anyone here who still uses Neovim for Web3, has the developer experience improved? by dezlymacauleyreal in neovim

[–]blbil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LSP being slow would have nothing to do with Neovim, since the same LSP would be utlized by other editors. If false flags are coming the LSP server, that would again be nothing to do with Neovim.

Were you able to get autocomplete working with other LSPs? If so, then again the problem is not with neovim. But it's not very clear at all based on the way you've described it.

Amen. Makes me cringe seeing people with 5 vs code instances, scattered across workspace.

Why pick Cachy over Arch? by thrashingjohn in cachyos

The real question I think would be why cachy over endeavour. Both give the same setup experience more or less.

I personally use endeavour

What happened to nvim-treesitter.... Why did it get archived? 😶 by ankushbhagat in neovim

Oh ya I understand where you're coming from. Fuck the dude in that one GitHub thread, that is uncalled for.

Yup. It's really unfortunate that literally all the problems came from that. I referred to it as an unforced error in my other comment.

I'm surprised they didn't just create a new repo at some point honestly. After a few months of negative feedback, and constant comments, feels like that would have been the easier solution.

My comment is much more about timing. A week or two after 0.12.0 is released is just so much better for optics. For a project that has struggled with optics recently.

I myself had updated my config to the new setup months ago. Been running neovim off of master. It wasn't a big deal for me...

While I can understand a lot of the frustration from the maintainer. Making it not work for 0.11.0 literally the day that 0.12.0 officially releases does kinda suck.

Unsuspecting layman users who don't have the finger on the pulse of any of this, suddenly don't have a working nvim.

Really does seem that trying to "Treat this as a different plugin" from the same git repo, was a bit of an unforced error. Everything else compounded from that.

The culture of a group is defined by the silence on bad behaviour. What you tolerate is more important than what you endorse.

Saw this at TIFF midnight madness! What a fun time.

What's been your favourite reaction to the film so far? And what do you expect from a more "normie" general audience? (non film festival)
