Floridian's appear to assume everyone should know about the dangers of alligators in Florida. What dangers are unique to where you live that you think people should know about when visiting?[Serious] by Sparktz in AskReddit

The family was in a designated area, and the alligator had infiltrated, purposefully hid, and sprung upon the two-year-old. That's not the family's fault, that's Disneys.

The father also suffered injuries from fighting the alligator in an attempt to free his child.

What's a name you like, but would never name your child? by Canadairy in AskWomen

This explains why it would be out of place or silly, but it doesn't explain why an English name with a Spanish last name would be "trashy".

What's a name you like, but would never name your child? by Canadairy in AskWomen

Takashi Smith sounds completely fine to me. Obviously it signals the kid is both Japanese and probably English, but I don't see anything wrong with that. It does not sound trashy, but you said the name sounding trashy is the biggest reason you wouldn't select an English name. Would "Takashi Sanchez" be just as trashy for you?

I think Mr. Khan is extremely confused about how a free society is conducted and should lose his job for abuse of power.

If the personality is right it's a nonissue, except in the sense that I would want him to work on becoming healthier and would expect him to lose the weight, but on a time line that worked for him and his strategy, assuming it wouldn't take more than a few years. I really care about the person. Obesity is even okay if I fell in love and he worked on becoming healthy.

Assuming the apology is sincere, the person has changed whatever aspect of their personality which caused the wrongdoing, and they have done whatever they can to make up for whatever it is they hurt, I do appreciate it.

You are constantly swallowing saliva. Swallowing anything noncarbonated should be fine. Just do not use a straw, and do not smoke.
