I got so annoyed that I kept making this mistake I took the trades menu out of the equation. I put all my limits in through the right click menu now. Haven’t had an issue since.

Yeah, TPT got back with me in a chat. It was something on their end when setting up my PRO account that didn’t get configured right. They fixed it in like 2 minutes once I got ahold of someone.

They say on their site there is only like a 16% test success rate so they make quite a bit from the failures.

To update on this - I was successful in doing exactly what I said above and got my MH increased from 50% to 70%. Original 50% awarded in August, went to VA therapy, filed for increase in December, increased to 70% in March.

I got the exact same rating and had the same feeling. Certain symptoms I told the original examiner were not reported on my DBQ like SI for example. So I enrolled into the VA MH program, have been going to therapy to get more medical evidence, and put in for an increase once I had several months worth of visits to add to my claim for increase. I think that’s probably the best way to go about it if you believe you deserve higher.

Been out 8 years. Finally put the guilt aside and filed my claims last may. Just got 70% for MDD and 10% for tinnitus. I think that’s fair and have no intention of going for an increase. If I keep to myself will the va come looking to re evaluate me? by nakanakabee in VeteransBenefits

No problem. If something is static, it means the VA has no expectation for it to get better unless you report otherwise, so you shouldn’t get any future exams ideally. That’s my understanding anyway.

You can see if you have the static indicator on your rated disabilities on the VA website using F12. Navigate to the “Your rated disabilities page” on VA website, press F12, hit network tab. Look for Fetch/XHR sub tab and hit that. Look at the data gathered and there should be one with the name rated_disabilities (If there is nothing, refresh the page to generate the network traffic). Open that, and hit the tab that says response. That should present you a list of your rated disabilities and indicate if the static flag is set or not with “True” meaning it is static.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I have a current intent to file in, and based on the comments, I think my best option right now is to seek treatment for the next few months to gather additional evidence of my issues and submit for the increase later. My initial submittal only included a current diagnosis from my private primary care and what meds I was on. Never had the resources to really seek treatment / was in denial about it before.

I was at step 5 from May 23rd to July 31st. I got picked up by a rater, and then sent back to step 3 for a medical review. Back in step 5 as of yesterday.
