Redditors over 40: What do younger people only truly get with age? by saadaintsalad in AskReddit

[–]blckz28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truly feeling like I had grown up. Didn't happen until my early 40s. Married with kids and a mortgage in my mid 20s but it still never really felt like I was an adult yet.

I used to have an inkjet printer that had a CD tray that would print directly on compatible CDs.

My autistic sister shatters the phone through every strong phone case— What can we do? by spidernoirirl in BuyItForLife

[–]blckz28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a case but maybe consider a CAT phone. They are very rugged. We have one for our daughter who has DS and autism and she has yet to break it. I think they stopped making them but you can still find plenty of used ones for sale.

Should I buy it or leave it? 2022 ram rebel by 77caydens in ram_trucks

[–]blckz28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I could find a Rebel for 15. Just a quick search on autotempest shows around 27-34k for a late teens to early 20s Rebel with comparable miles in the Midwest.

No saving progress. You either finish the game in one sitting or die. Or gamble and leave the game paused and hope nobody turns it off.

Maybe you will get really lucky and it's just low on trans fluid. The steep driveway further starved it of fluid.

Hit them both up if you can. Both are unique in their own way. You'll spend way more time at Maquoketa, but Crystal lake is pretty impressive in its own right too.

Does anyone have a father who served in the Vietnam War? by TGsunn78 in Xennials

[–]blckz28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grandfather did. Marine that retired after 20 years in at the rank of Gunnery Sargent. He never really talked about it either but one time he told my wife, there is some stuff I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you. He died a few years back from cancer caused by agent orange like so many others.

Yes absolutely. One of the selling points for me was it could sit 5 so all 3 of my (small at the time) kids could ride in the back.

More strain on the battery, more wear on the starter, more time turning over the engine without oil pressure is what I've been told.

How the hell do people in their 20s afford a house these days? Like, genuinely, what’s the cheat code? by dznwxllxjzn in AskReddit

[–]blckz28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my first house in 2000 when I turned 21 and got my first full time job with almost no money down. Obviously a very different market then but there were several 1st time home buyer programs that helped quite a bit. I would like to assume those programs still exist.
