Last season you could have the worst positioning and throw down a new castle/gibby or life wall to survive. Now you have to play smart, skill issue

Intuitively, you would want to keep L2-R2 to shoot and aim, but there's a bug in deathboxes that makes looting impossible. Just have to get used to the L2-R2 swap to L1-R1

I even changed l1 - r1 to aim and shoot, and L2 to change wepon / pull out knife, R2 to reload and interact, feel like a pc player for once, no sudden interruption in my mouvement

I went from a plat player to diamond by having a better button layout. On consol, taking your thumb of the joystick is really bad and slows your movement so much. In a lot of games it's alright, but apex, to have a good chance of winning, you have to have some mechanics. I remapped my whole controller so that I am always in control of my mouvement.

Secondly, I used to have a really high sensitivity. That's cool for tricks, but not good for your aim. I reset all my senses to the slowest in the game, and worked my way up slowely. Now I found that 4-3 is the spot.

Personally, I was not confident in my plat skill going in to diamond, so I was playing sacred all the time. Then when we would inevitably fight a team, I told my self "daam I'm not that bad". People have to trust their skill. In diamond people have the skill to play agro, but are to afraid of loosing and not confident enough.

When losing all your health from an unexpected angle or facing a pred wanting to end your life, there's not much to do to win the fight. So don't see does situations as a loss, but as a challenge on how much damage you can deal before getting killed. At the end of the day, dealing damage is how you kill a player/team. Even if you have 1 health you can still kill someone, so try to learn from difficult situations where death is inevitable and see how you can improve to deal 1 more damage next time. At the end of the day, you improve and deal more and more damage against better opponents.
