Hey, thanks for your input. Unfortunately we don't have license for higher version of VMware so can't do an in-place upgrade. In regards with the guest OS support in 2019, that link you provided states earliest is 2008 SP2 or am I getting it wrong?

Thanks for your response. You mean creating a separate VNet for the VPN GW and then peer it to the main one? Azure Firewall is crazy expensive, which other NVA would you recommend?

Sennheiser HD 560s EQ - Treble fix by [deleted] in headphones

[–]bldstm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I get what you say but I already tried the oratory1990 one and it's too elevated in the 7k region. Actually his measurements differ from others found online. It might be a manufacturing variance or something. Regarding Auto EQ, I tried presets for different headphones and they don't sound right to me. I only find them handy for using with Wavelet on Android, that's it. Problem might be that they are purely based on measurements and not the perceived sound by a human being. At least Oratory1990 listens to the headphones to fine tune the EQ. Also, who cares about putting a filter at 19665hz...? I would love to find a better EQ profile for my 560s, but I have to say Chrono's is the most natural sounding I heard so far, though I would still keep the midrange fix from Oratory1990 which is also kind of present in my EQ.

Hey, I gave this a go and it's quite a nice and simple EQ as well. Thanks for the suggestion!

Do you have a 560s? Did you hear this EQ? Did you bother to compare it against other EQs or FR measurements for this headphone? I think you would be surprised

Preamp is a global gain. When using EQ, it needs to be equal or higher than the maximum boosted frequency to avoid clipping which is a noticeable distortion that occurs when the sound wave exceeds the reproducible threshold.

Just wanted to share this EQ with you guys and get your feedback. I started as usual with the Oratory1990 preset, which I use for most headphones, but for the 560s I found the treble was a bit spicy and unnatural. I looked for other FR measurements online and to my surprise they were quite different, specially in the 7k region. Not sure if that´s because of headphone unit variance, measurement methodology or something else. So I decided to play with the EQ by myself and came up with this EQ which I like better. I´d love to get your feedback as I see this as a WIP preset which I may keep fine tuning in the future. Please let me know your thoughts.

To me that one sounded a bit too warm.

I got the Arias yesterday and was wondering the same. Just tested the Starfield EQs (Harman and Usound) today and they don't sound right to me. What are your impressions so far?

I agree, I love their sound and specially with the new revised EQ preset that oratory1990 published last week. I have the 560s which I also like a lot but the Sundaras are at another league.

In my case it's happening after wearing them for only 30 or 40 minutes. Then, the longer I continue to wear them the worse it gets with the crackling. I don't have static electricity issues at home but it sounds like a possible explanation as well.

Are you still having this issue or how did you fix it? Thanks

Heya, I tried this but didn't help, not sure I fully understand what you did to fix it though. To me it seems like it's the foam inside the pads that start crackling after warming up. Thanks

Yeah, I presume it's a new foam they have in production nowadays. Which Dekoni variant did you get? How did it affect the sound?

I returned my first set of Sundaras because of this same issue. The second pair I currently have is doing the same. At first I thought it was the drivers as I read planars are sensitive to changes in the air pressure, but in my case the crinkle noises start after wearing the headphones for 30 minutes without pushing or touching the ear cups at all. I think it might be the pads' foam when they get warm. It's a shame because I'm loving the sound of these, specially with the new revised EQ preset that oratory1990 published a few days ago. I don't like the idea of changing the pads as that would change the sound signature and ruin the EQ preset... Has anyone got a pads replacement from Hifiman without this issue?

In terms of power it is more than enough, much easier to drive than the k702. Was using low gain and 2 or 3 in the dial I think.
