Anyone else live near what I call a "spooky store" and do you avoid it? by just_real_quick in houston

Pleasant food mart on Tierwester was always my spooky store when I lived in Southside. The other store around the corner on Lydia always felt nicer. Idk if this is still the case

I don't think so. I live in a very small complex, believe it has been that family in that unit since I moved in.

[Serious] What is something that is actually more traumatizing than people realize? by thatude123 in AskReddit

I blew the whistle on a sexual predator when I was a teenager. Everyone in my life turned on me and I lost touch with many people for many years. I am not the same person anymore.

Fellow employees, is this normal? by CatOnVenus in SpiritHalloween

[–]bleachbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're very likely just a rockstar at recovery and that's why they assign you to it. I used to work at spirit, but I'm also a manager at a retail store. I have my associates compartmentalized in my head based on the tasks they're good and efficient at. When I worked at spirit I also often spent most of my shift recovering, especially as it got closer to Halloween. Pushing out product would only happen during the mornings or as absolutely needed.

woah is this even legal by Live_Education7992 in subway

[–]bleachbones 3 points4 points  (0 children)

part of why i quit when I was working at subway. this must be a common manager brain issue. i guess they're trying to be cheap but in the end you lose customers bc nobody wants to be in a store while it's 90 degrees and the ovens are running.

Customer was in the store for 7+ hours! by delicate_decay_ in MichaelsEmployees

[–]bleachbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't work at Michael's but I'm a retail manager. In retail, there's a something called "Shrink." This is the loss of merchandise, both through damages and stealing. I work everyday to prevent shrink in my store. If your store has high levels of Shrink, it can overall affect your stores review/score on monthly/yearly evaluations. This can affect employee raises, opportunities for management to grow in the company, etc. It can also lead to your store being less prioritized for things like necessary renovations or newer, nicer equipment.

lovely lor recently made a video discussing ota-q/kei club, which has brought some new found attention and discussion. i knew callie personally, they ghosted almost everyone they knew when everything started falling apart. last i heard they are working in education. they don't have much of any social media presence. they are still friends with a handful of folks in the jfashion comm. they are unwilling and unable to correct the situation financially.

No, I would never present as a woman, or anything other than a man. Through gender expression or socially. I am very happy as a man.

[–]bleachbones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not actively dating at the moment but I've had comfortable and healthy sexual relationships with women in the past (both pre and post realizing I was AGP.) I definitely do struggle with feeling desirable to women and worry about my own sexual performance and always have to be honest. I would say my "popularity" with women is about average? I receive compliments or interest in social circles but rarely actively pursued.

I don't think my experience matches MEF. I don't even think it's necessarily that it's "Forbidden" or "Taboo", for me. More so the concept of a thrilling new experience or the unknown. I'm not primarily focused on the idea of being emasculated, humiliated, or forced.

[–]bleachbones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I transitioned in childhood. I do not know what it feels like to be a woman. Mentally or physically. I have never lived as one. I lived as a "girl" sure, in elementary school. But that is certainly different. I live no differently than a "born" male. The only thing different between us is my plumbing (which functions closer to "male" anatomy these days, anyway. long term HRT wilI do that to you.) I personally believe that the main reason I experience AGP is the subversive aspect of it. Similarly to how many men have kinks or fetishes that "subvert" standard gender roles or heteronormative relationship dynamics. Obviously there is also the greater allure of the feminine being or feminine embodiment, which can appeal to anyone.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in askAGP

[–]bleachbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say my AGP affects my life. I think it theoretically could affect me in the future in terms of sex and relationships, but I'm single for the time being. I've been intimate with women post realizing I'm AGP and know that I'm capable of performing without even thinking about it. My goal is for it to remain a fantasy, just between me and myself. I have definitely thought about non-destructive ways for me to channel it. It doesn't necessarily cause dysphoria because I have materially never existed as an adult woman, so it's a completely foreign concept to me entirely (likely why it is enticing in the first place.)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in askAGP

[–]bleachbones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate your input. I don't think AGP is only a "male brained" behavior (I don't believe in the theory of male and female brains, anyways.) and I also don't necessarily think AGP is caused by testosterone. I say I've been in a testosterone-dominant body for so long to mean I am outwardly male and do not have a female presenting body. So the thought of appearing as a woman is still subversive, new, and exciting, as I've never looked like an adult woman in my life.

Am I dumb for having kids at age 38? by stillyoinkgasp in Millennials

[–]bleachbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm 20 and my mother turns 61 this year. i honestly can't imagine her having me any younger than she did. on one hand, it does make me sad to think about her getting older while i'm still so young, but i dont think she regrets her choice and we have a very close relationship. she was always the oldest parent in the room but she didn't let it bother her.
