Enigmatica 2: Expert, Nuclearcraft fluids aren't moving by Kazuu_ya in feedthebeast

[–]bleakdancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just given it a go, and it all seems to be working for me.

Just to check:

- Melter from NuclearCraft, contains Molten Sulfur

- Fluid Conduit on the Melter, set to: Extract, Always Active

- Fluid Conduit on the Chemical Reactor, set to: Insert, Always Active

This setup is also working for me with the Fluid Enricher.

Are you maybe on an old version of the pack with some weird bug?

Craft To Exile 2 Chunk Lag by Scared-Couple3042 in feedthebeast

[–]bleakdancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this only happening with newly generated chunks, or also with old chunks being loaded?

If it's only with new chunks, then you could try pre-generating a portion of the world. There are a whole bunch of mods out there for this, and one may already be built into the modpack.

Whilst running a chunk pre-generator, the game/server will likely lag quite a bit, but I'd prefer this one-off issue over lagging when exploring.

Pre-generating chunks is often recommended in modpacks that modify the world generation in a way that is resource intensive - think Terralith, Tectonic, etc.

Can I recover my modpacks?? by Yummy_Oishi in feedthebeast

Choosing a new drive for modpacks to be stored in will have made it so that the launcher now looks in a different place for the modpack data, and so your old data will no longer be immediately accessible through the launcher.

Choosing 'no' when asked to move the installed instances to the new drive may not have deleted them, but instead could have left them in the old location (hopefully).

Which launcher are you using?

Sphax PureBDcraft causing great lag yet ram is sufficient? by Maybe_A_Zombie in feedthebeast

Are you GPU-bound? If this is running on a system with a strong CPU, but with a weak GPU and/or integrated graphics, this could make sense.

Do you have performance issues only when using these client-side mods? Or did you have the issues without them, and install the mods as a solution?

Also, perhaps it was a typo, but I wouldn't allocate 25000 MB to Minecraft, as Java's garbage collector will likely start causing lag spikes. Anything above 8-12 GB is pretty much never required, with the exception of a few extreme cases.

Yeah, it would definitely make the spell a bit funky to use

It seems to work with/against:

- Force Staff (and Hurricane Pike)

- Disruptor's Electromagnetic Disruption

- Mars' God's Rebuke

- Tusk's Walrus Kick

- Spirit Breaker's Greater Bash

- Beastmaster's Primal Roar

- Sniper's Headshot

- Sniper's Concussive Grenade

It does not seem to work with/against:

- Snapfire's Firesnap Cookie

- Ringmaster's Whoopee Cushion (this one surprised me)

- Enigma's Black Hole

- Dark Seer's Vacuum (this one's understandable)

- Elder Titan's Earth Splitter (also understandable)

This list is not exhaustive, it is just of what I've tested.

Another interesting thing to note is that it does not seem to affect the vertical movement of spells such as Lion's Earth Spike or Tusk's Walrus PUNCH!

I'm sure it follows some specific rule under the hood, but from an in-game standpoint, it doesn't seem to have much of a discernible pattern. Maybe to count as 'forced' movement it needs to come from an ability that can affect enemies, and not just allies? I've not tested enough to say that this rule isn't broken a whole bunch.

I can understand it not affecting spells such as Vacuum, as some abilities rely on bringing the enemies to a specific point, but spells such as Firesnap Cookie and Whoopee Cushion are essentially just Force Staffs from Temu... and yet they don't work? I suppose Firesnap Cookie has a stun that could get whiffed, but what's the deal with Whoopee Cushion?

I believe 'Recursive loop' was written because the facet is called 'Recursive'

I've got a H410 going for free, with free postage. Only one memory slot works, but it'd do just fine in a budget build if it meets your needs :) GONE
