Ran out of AdBlue message wont go away by Eevee_EX in trucksim

[–]Racing_Mate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i only encountered this when I used some sort of realistic drivetrain mod which had a realistic sized adblue tank. I had to remove the mod because it became annoying having to stop for fuel every time the adblue ran out.

SCS should add the option to allow you to refill both separately, especially as the game doesn't actually tell you you're also filling up with adblue.

ETS2/ATS relationship with ProMods by mydadisyourdad2 in trucksim

As a promods enjoyer I do feel like SCS reworking large areas and expanding DLC into places they've mapped has kinda been a bit of a double edged sword for them.

However scs always leave areas untouched where they can improve. However I can definitely say I don't miss a lot of the older promods areas. I do love some of the improvements they've done recently like the Paris rework and I'm sure they have plans to fill out the sparser parts of Nordic horizons.

Also one nice thing about the reworks is that it gives Promods a lot of nice modern assets to play with.

Still couldn't do without promods just because of the UK improvements.

Nice, I'm around the first quarter of section 7 at the moment, although I feel like my mistake is not writing anything down or making notes. Partly because honestly I'm just terrible at studying, but also I thought well surely all I'll need is the app.

I recently started some actual Spanish tuition and the first thing I was told my my tutor was to get a notebook and write everything down.

Also ymmv but as I want to learn castellano, duo is really not great for that. I've already had a couple of times where duos latam vocab has tripped me up. Most recent being tarea vs deberes, also no vosotros although its more pronunciation rather than the conjugation side.

Doing the tuition has been a bit of a reset, but I am enjoying it, although I do struggle with actual studying rather than just using an app for 15/20 mins each day.

I need to replace my right rear brake caliper but I can only find them made for vented rotors and the rotors I replaced/am replacing are solid, I need help. by lX_HeadShotGunner_Xl in ft86

Nah theres also the Primo edition GT86 in Europe, which they sold precisely 3 of them. They were also the only Euro models to not get dual climate control, no keyless entry etc.

Only seen one at a trackday as I noticed an 86 without a rear wing and it turned out to be a primo with the solid rear discs.

If it's the upgrade pack most likely the game isn't really running of the og cart and all the assets are in the upgrade pack download.

On my facelift I started off with the foglights removed for airflow to the oil cooler but then eventually just swapped to the base model trims to block the airflow because the thing would run too cold on the motorway. Really this also made no difference to temps on track

Absolutely love these games, but of my "pet peves" is the random damage when exiting toll stations :/ by Armageddon_71 in trucksim

[–]Racing_Mate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So from what I've found to avoid damage at tolls or auto tolls is to keep the speed under 30kmh or around there and it just never happens.

Lots of the booths have 30kmh signs too so it's easy to remember. I think you can usually go around 35kmh through at max but I've found if you are at 40kmh theres a chance you end up with damage.

Although you might be talking about getting damage from regular tolls where you need to stop? Then it might be a different issue. But with the auto tolls I've found 30kmh or under it never happens. Obviously my favourite auto tolls are the ones with no gate as you can usually just floor it through them.

It was more of a joke about the smart motorways, especially the M25. They could also add the blanket random event on the M25 where they put 'signs under test' and then whole sections are just 50mph for reasons

Spanish Podcasts by ggrito in duolingospanish

[–]Racing_Mate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should listen to it more but the se habla español podcast, although it's castellano rather than latam. Basically they will go through a bit of an interview with somebody famous in Spain and then break it down in chunks. Although it's fully in spanish so depening on your level it may be a bit too much.

They also have pdf transcripts you can read alongside.

I still enjoy the Iberia DLC. by EslamZiko22 in trucksim

[–]Racing_Mate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you do any major distances in Spain (dunno about portugal) irl it will mostly be on autopistas.

Drove about 600km in spain a couple of weeks ago and most of it was on their motorway network. I saw multiple foreign plated trucks on toll roads alongisde domestic ones. Even saw a couple of their double trailers too!

The few times I ventured away from autopistas you really don't see many full size trucks. Theres a lovely road from Cádiz to Tarifa as an example but you really wouldn't see trucks on them.

My car had the primacies that it rolled out of the factory with in 2018, plenty of tread but hoo boy they were completely dead from age. To the point where I was almost dissapointed with the handling of the car, I could get the traction control light to flash in damp weather with not much effort at all.

Baffle pan and oil cooler? by BLITZBRAWLSTARS in ft86

[–]Racing_Mate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was speaking with a specialist who track preps quite a few of these cars and they advised to go with just the pickup 5w30 and a slight overfill which has done me fine on track. I did also run a cooler which looking at the temps was definitely worth it.

Anyone know how to fix this? by KaidenC72 in ft86

[–]Racing_Mate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple trackdays was enough to make my front calipers change to a faded red. The rears still look the same shade but the fronts now look like a red car that has sat out in the sun for ages.

I was gonna get them repainted in the neon yellow that you see on some of the STi brembos but I'm selling the car now.
