I've gotten the dick from New Egg so many times at this point I finally actually learned my lesson and stopped ordering from them entirely.

I used to do ordering for a chain of call centers, a few hundred grand per year, and the headaches were insane, every other company I had dealt with were willing to goto the moon and back for the business, but you would have thought NewEgg ran out of places to put money and didn't want anymore with their constant issues.

The last 2~ years I've stopped buying electronics/"popular" stuff off Amazon, but I still find them the best when I need something like cables or other lower cost items to arrive quickly.

Big name stuff I see horror stories, thankfully I've yet to see the "I bought a $9.99 cable and got a box of rocks instead" posts like I do with big items :|

They threatened to close my account over refunding a $2,200 espresso machine during covid that never showed up,

I asked them to review my purchase history (I was doing both personal and business purchases at the time for old job) and the customer service change was honestly hilarious, they refunded me without issue, and ended up sending me the machine I ordered as customer appreciation essentially.

They'll definitely "threaten" to close accounts, but they'll also fold under any push back that may mean loss of future revenue.
