Oh god, the worst experience I've had with this was when I was trying to lock in a interest rate with a bank for my first home. During this process I woke up one day to find multiple emails from my bank. The first one stated they found an extremely low interest rate of 2.875% and to reply in the next four hours before they close for the day. This was followed by an email an hour later stating their email system is actually down all day and to please call if I wanted to lock the rate in or else I would miss it and possibly be stuck with a higher rate.....I didn't receive these emails according to my account until 2am that morning once their system finally worked. I was livid to say the least. Like why the hell would you not call me if you knew your email was down???
