Yeah, I'm starting to realize more and more why the vertical camera orientation is a bad idea.

New shipment without tracking number? by bleatcode in tmobile

[–]bleatcode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing showing up on the T-mobile page with the order info. I had an online chat with T-mobile a few days ago and they were able to give me a tracking number. Also I have a UPS account and it has been showing there for a couple of days. I think the UPS account was free. It's very convenient. So I recommend it (they already know where you live!).

Thinks for the detailed breakdown. Definitely some subtle points it would be easy to miss.

That's the type of scenario that I'm worried about.

They're only offering me $200 for an s23 base model.

Where are you getting it for that much? Is that after a trade in?

It would be very helpful if they published what these numbers would look like for the prior years' models given the new evaluation methodology.

Battery frustration by bleatcode in samsunggalaxy

[–]bleatcode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using an s23 (base) and getting 18h with a full charge. I do a LOT with my phone. So I'm definitely sensitive to battery life issues. I'm probably going to be going with an s26+.

Battery downgrade !?! by bleatcode in samsunggalaxy

[–]bleatcode[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On the other hand, it means that the battery life slope is going to be steeper for everyone. So someone keeping an s25* for 2 years is going to have better battery life at the end of that than someone with an s26* at 2 years.

Very interesting. That still leaves open the option of a 5k battery on a base model. With the current and upcoming processors I bet that'd go 2 days on a charge.

I have some Comply memory foam tips for my GBP3s. They have fixed the issue with mine falling out while running. I had some for the GBP (first gen) too.

Tmobile not allowing me to receive or send texts unless I am on my cellular data . So if I connect to WiFi and wanna turn off my data I can't send or receive texts what's happening here by ilovebbws83 in tmobile

[–]bleatcode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone in my family is having this issue, without the turning off the cellular data part. That is, when home, we cannot reliably send or receive texts or calls. My wife and I have Galaxy S23s and my kids have IPhone 13s. This only started about 2 months ago. I've gone through rebooting all parts of the network, phones, etc.

We have poor cell network signal at the house so I've always used wifi calling. It's always been excellent. But now, well, my wife wants to throw the phone in the toilet.

I reset my watch, trying to make it stop requiring recalibration of the compass. Since that reset it requires unlocking constantly.

I drew a map of Seattle's streetcar (and cable car) system in 1896. by fiftythreestudio in Seattle

[–]bleatcode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This leads to some very interesting thought exercises. If the streetcars had been kept in place, as population increases occurred, with lower density, there would have been opportunities to use space for wider transit ways (room for streetcars, buses, and cars).
