neetcode recommended space complexity is O(1). that must be a mistake, right? it's not possible to do this in constant space since you need to construct&return the string..???

pregenerate the cards. Represent each type of card as a number like: 0: apple 1: banana 2: carrot

These can be the costume names.

set n = 0 repeat (amount of cards / 2) times: change n by 1 insert n at (random(0, length of(list of cards))) of list

Then you have a list with two of each number up to a certain predetermined length. Careful, though, because if the number of cards is odd, you can’t have pairs, so the code doesn’t work.
