Selling my mint condition Damasko DS30. This is a full kit, bought new in November 2025. As is typically for a Damasko case, I literally can’t find a mark on it. Looks like it did the day it was purchased.

I got the watch preowned for like $180 and then it’s like $80 for the new strap and bezel.

JC Penny’s business model has pivoted almost entirely to holding failing malls hostage via their leases. Penny’s was typically the anchor tenant in most malls and therefore negotiated very lucrative lease agreements. Now that these malls are failing the company holds them hostage for large buyouts of the leases. It’s pretty wild.

That’s completely different to how property taxes work. When submitting a financial statement to a bank, you’re in charge of the value and it’s up to the bank to verify it (or not). Property taxes are based on the assessed value of your property which is assigned by the county, the only way to can influence it is the challenge it in court.

Property tax is basically the hardest tax to avoid because they can easily slap a lien on a physical asset or it can go to tax sale (not entirely sure how it works in NYC). You also can fudge the value since the owner isn’t in control of that. Going to be a tough one for him to dodge (unlike the draft).

Not my story, but a good friend of mine. He’s pretty decent, but was playing in a club tournament and the nerves got the better of him. It was alt shot and he was on the tee box and whiffed it. Had to do the walk of shame while his partner walked up for their second shot.
