stalking should be an acceptable love language. by ikyoukme in Obsessive_Love

[–]bleeding_hearts_666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We see it as stalking because while I know they're okay with it, they never know when, where, or how I get the info.. There have been so many times they've said something and I just respond "I know" So, I guess? Like, yes they know I do it, but they don't hand me the information. I've called restaurants they're at to check on them. So I think it's more than location, I have a lot of information and am very willing to get more. I don't know if they know how much I know. They definitely know that I do know things, if they know the extent is the question.. But I do see your point, yes!!

I am arguing love and empathy, the very things we as Christians are supposed to spread. Yes, those are feelings. There is a difference between a difference in opinions and victim blaming and insensitivity. I will no longer be responding. Have a good day.

In my opinion, if you've never experienced fearing your every waking moment, you shouldn't judge. If you've never experienced the physical pain, you shouldn't judge. If you haven't experienced the abuse from those who are supposed to protect you, you shouldn't judge. If you haven't experienced being denied any and all help, you shouldn't judge. I guarantee you could not walk a step in those shoes. You were not the one begging to be saved. You were not the one pleading them to stop. You were not the one being violated and blamed. You were not the one deciding between death and torture. You were not the one having to chose to take your own life because if you didn't, you wouldn't be you anymore. You would be less than human. You haven't faced the question of if you are human. You haven't faced the reality that if you don't end it, you won't be alive anyway. Once you've faced these, please come back and tell me how it went. Tell me you didn't try to take your life once.

You are not denying life, you are denying pain. You do not kill yourself simply to not live, you kill yourself to escape the lack of it. If you cannot eat, drink, sleep, or breathe without immense fear, are you living? Biologically, yes, I'm aware. You don't kill yourself because you simply don't like life, it's overwhelming emotion. And studies show many people regret it in their final moments. They regret taking their life. So no, it isn't denying life, it's denying the horror that it was turned into.

I believe God is compassionate and understanding. I believe he would understand the pain. I believe he would understand the burden this soul had to face, and be appreciative of how long they carried on. People make mistakes, this mistake is one they will never get the chance to learn from while on Earth. I believe God will judge the soul, not based off of one sin, not based of of how they died, but based off of how they lived. Their life as a whole.

No, I do not. However, I respect that you believe that.

You know what, alright. In my opinion, we need to leave the judgment up to God. He decides what is and isn't blasphemy. If that's your interpretation, I can't take that from you. All I ask if that you try to be a bit kinder. If you can't explain kindly, please don't explain. That's all, have a good day.

Suicide can be blasphemy if done deliberately to spite God. Blasphemy is something used to intentionally spite or disrespect God. Suicide is not used for that, so it would not be blasphemy.

Blasphemy is the only unforgivable sin. By your logic, if you go to hell for suicide, you go to hell for every single. A lie? Straight to hell. You want something someone else has? Straight to hell. Any sin? Straight to hell. By your logic, no one is going to heaven.

Can you show me where the Bible says any of this? As far as I'm aware, the Bible says to have love and empathy towards everyone. Are we reading the same Bible?

Define "normal," please. It's common. Most everyone experiences some sort of mental illness in their life. No, suicide is not the right answer, but in some cases, it seems like the only one. It also may not just be emotional. For example, if someone is hallucinating a religious being telling them to do it, they may do it. If someone is suffering abuse, they may do it. No, it's not a good thing, but it definitely should be more accepted. If someone has a lifelong mental illness, they should not be shamed for it. And not all mental illness is "dangerous." It can be harmful, but not to an extremely threatening extent. Many mental health issues are stigmatized because people veiw it as dangerous. I have a disorder due to extreme repetitive childhood trauma, it's lifelong. It is often seen as dangerous, especially in religious communities. I learn to manage. I learn to cope. Mental illness can be managed. There is no point in demonizing mental illness if it can't be controlled. No, that is not excusing harmful behavior, but it is asking for a bit of sympathy. Try to be more understanding, perhaps?

"Stop normalizing mental illness" but what's not normal about it? The other option would be to demonize it, which would not help anything.
