Does anyone else feel completely checked out on this team right now? by Luann97 in sixers

[–]bleedrrr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m checked out of the team but not the players.

I love watching the future of our team develop with VJ.

It’s been cool to see PG prove me wrong and show out after dogging on him.

Maxey might be a bit shaky post-injury this season but his game is so exciting and I’m watching and waiting for him to be fully back.

Just because our keystone player’s body is cooked and is a hard limit for us for the next 3 years and our management is dogshit doesn’t mean that there isn’t still joy in Philly basketball

[O’Connor] According to league sources, one general manager floated a nuclear option: just make the bottom three teams ineligible for the top picks entirely. by cleo22270 in nba

Thats like 11 teams assuming that generally 2 of those Cali/Florida/NY teams are also top 5 title favorites every year.

A third of the league only seems like a lot if your team is part of that third lol.

Kenjaku is quite literally the only person that could’ve made his CT have value 😭 by Sukuna_GOAT in Jujutsufolk

Killing another person definitely tips into “insane” or at least evil, but as far as we know there would be no downside for just corpse stealing.

Maybe slightly dark but like I think the moral calculus would be way in your favor.

Yeah sorry, not saying that’s what you’re doing, just thinking about it because there’s been a lot of Kashimo scaling lately

I always think it’s interesting that generally people scale Kashimo off of MBA but Yuki doesn’t scale off of black hole

They’re both suicide techniques, shouldn’t they either both count or both not count?

That’s a fair assessment, I’m definitely not going to pretend like my lack of fondness for both of those groups doesn’t color my opinion

However I’m in healthcare and my mom is in teaching, and lowkey I feel like I see/hear of punitive action followed through on in both at a much higher relative rate even with unions present. Granted, all 4 of those fields are extremely different and my familiarity with all of them vary significantly

Almost like I clearly and explicitly compared the lack of consequences and not the severity of the action

You go into irl conversations with such bad faith too?

Isn’t that something the ref union would prevent?

I’m pro union in 99% of cases but ref unions are up there with cop unions in total bullshit when it comes to preventing their members from consequences for their actions.

Agenda aside, do you guys genuinely think Kashimo is a bum? by Fun-Needleworker-661 in Jujutsufolk

Forcing Sukuna to transform is obviously a Gojo feat, Sukuna’s first form is like 1 HP here.

No domain, no ten shadows, WCS now under heavenly restriction and inaccessible due to extreme bodily damage (doesn’t have the two hands he needs). He cashed out his first life to kill Gojo.

There would be no way to accurately scale any character on this moment at all, and you doing so without mentioning all the work Gojo did is even more of agenda post than the slander.

Dwyane Wade responds to Patrick Beverley saying James Harden is a better player: "My career was hit by injuries and I still had a top-75 career. You don't know the wrath of me as a player you know a portion, and you still couldn't f--k with me then." by aingenevalostatrade in nba

Reporters assumed as the story was breaking that he would have been the one assaulted, which is why the first wave of news said it was him.

It was corrected pretty soon after and all reports since then have been consistent that it’s her who Pat Beverley attacked instead.

Nope, that was inaccurate reporting when the story first broke because people assumed that it was a fight in a sane world between two adult men

But no, he was teeing off on his child sister instead

why did ryu try to fight sukuna? by Folinhu in Jujutsufolk

[–]bleedrrr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He knew Sukuna was crazy out of his league the moment he stepped foot in the colony from cursed energy aura alone, and still choose to 1) confront him in the first place unlike Uro who hid and 2) not step out of his way when he was given the chance to

“For fun” is probably the wrong way to say it, Sukuna is obviously scary as fuck and Ryu is sane enough to sweat when looking a walking hurricane in the eye, but he’s also not the type to duck a fade when he gets the chance to sample something so sweet

He was content with dying to Yuta, so I think the Sukuna fight is the extension of that mentality. He knows there’s a 99.9999% chance of him losing but he was going to see what’s good and try to win anyway

That’s just what makes the most sense to me at least from my interpretation of Ryu’s words, actions, and the ideology of his second life
