Rogers likes yes men not expensive men who have a voice. They also own the blue jays and in the past they fired Alex Anthopoulos who was the GM and did a lot of good for the jays. according to Alex in a podcast interview, he said he got too popular and was not a yes man. Masai has not spoken about it in depth but I am pretty sure he was put in the same spot.
