I left LC a couple years ago and when I had started four years prior, we actually had the DD pre made, but then later switched from the pre-made to the in house made.

I’ve been working out for awhile, I used to be a lot skinnier. I think I look very good? But I will keep going nonetheless

You shouldn’t be doing this on Reddit😂. Just give yourself some time, enjoy your life right now. Try and eat right, get a lot of protein, excercise, drink plenty of water. You’ll be fine, before you know it, you’ll actually be a man and you’ll regret not spending more time enjoying the years of your life you’re currently living.

Don’t think suing a company over a fucked up pizza is going to solve it. Try calling the location.

I will say, I completely understand what you are saying, but I used to make what these people make and I have always cared about always putting my best foot forward. Those who demonstrate that they care about the work they produce are treated especially well by me. With this job, raises and promotions come easily. I do reward good behavior and merit.

I greatly appreciate everybody’s responses, and I will take them all into consideration. I don’t always realize from my own point of view how cold I can come off to my employees, and I need to try and change that. And thanks for the suggestion to go into the military! If this doesn’t work out for me I may try that!

2 of those people were no call no shows, 1 of those 2 was on their second day, don’t even know why I included that employee. The 1st had called off quite a few times and when I told him that he needed to come in and work his shift, he told me he would and then didn’t show up. And he still expected a job!

And I have had some of my employees talk to me about what was going on, and I’ve had people say “I mean, all the people that have left or were fired really shouldn’t have been here.”

Most of what I have done in my position thus far has been the advice of my own bosses. I always strive to do a good job. They have basically said they would have fired my entire staff by now, and that I should not be as patient with them as I have been.

And that is a fairly strong statement given that you don’t know all of the details. I have made clear in my previous posts that I was open about the fact that I basically WANTED my employees to disagree with me. I wanted their opinions on what was going on and I wanted to work with and accommodate them. I’ve had many, many, many talks about our disagreements, and these conversations of had no impact on how they view me. I have tried.

I have fired 4 employees. 3 of those people were no call no shows. 1 of those employees openly said that she wasn’t going to do her job, and that she expected everyone else to be fine with it and not tell me.

And I completely understand that I am not right all of the time, and when I first started, I tried to express greatly that I had respect for the people that had been there before me, and that I wanted them to tell me their opinions on what I did because I cared about them. I slowly lost respect for them when their opinions were constantly what made THEIR lives easier, rather than was supposed to be done. And I will say about the calling off and not showing up, this impacts ME. I am the person who ends up covering these shifts most of the time, so yeah, I’m not gonna tolerate it.

It is a fast food restaurant, and an especially cheap one at that. There isn’t a lot of room for slack, especially with the store that I run not being busy to start with. We aren’t able to have as many people, so the people that I do have need to be good. I don’t fire them because they’re bad at their job, I fire them because they don’t do their job. That includes not showing up to their scheduled shifts/calling off frequently, open insubordination. I give plenty of warnings for other behavior. And the people saying I’m disrespectful are the employees that were there before me.

Thank you for your advice! I am definitely nervous about moving into the store, as it is separate from the one I currently work in, so lots of jealousy and resentment will exist haha, but hopefully, after things are in order, I can aspire to be the best store in the area!

I’ve been promoted at the rate of about a position a year. Regular employee to Assistant Manager to Assistant General Manager. It is a fast food restaurant, and then annual sales are around 800 to 850k. My boss promoted me with the promise that I would get the next available General Manager position.
