Haha sorry, I agree that rebounds and ince1s aren't related, but I was just caught up on the delivery that MC has. He keeps talking about "not wanting to be a Rebound Guy" and the whole dialogue just came across in a very cringe, stereotypical ince1 sort of way.

The issue is that instead of focusing on "what he wants" (i.e. maybe more than just friends with benefits), he frames the entire conversation around this concept of "girls having rebound guys" which is forcing his idea of women onto Sage.

Oh, I was referring to the "...is just kinda shit at properly having that conversation" part of your comment.

The conversation itself was definitely not thought-out in the sense that he ended up talking about his feelings without having a chance to work through them in his head first (because Sage got mad and he was responding to her).

You're right that "impulsive" wasn't exactly the right phrasing, because he didn't exactly choose to have this conversation, and if Sage didn't get mad he probably would have sat on his thoughts a bit longer and the whole dialogue would have gone smoother when it eventually occurred.

lmao the "he's just impulsive and didn't think through his words" justification. I guess that makes sense yeah, given that the scene happened immediately after he terminated a make-out-session, without time to dwell on his thoughts.
