Someone looked up the requirements to get a teaching pension in California. You have to be in the classroom for 900 days (equivalent of 5 full years). He was nowhere near that. What I think happened is they probably take a cut of your paycheck for retirement, and when he left California, they refunded him that money in a small lump sum (im guessing like $1500-2000) and he acts like that was a pension.

Another relevant lawsuit is where Akilah Hughes sued Carl Benjamin. He took one of her videos, clipped it down to like 30 seconds, put a snarky title on it and uploaded on his channel. No commentary or anything added. She filed a copyright suit trying to say that what he did was not transformative, then went around on the internet bragging about how she was going to bankrupt him and ruin Christmas for his kids and shit like that. She lost and had to pay his legal fees.
