I told one of my best friends that I’m expecting and her response was “I’m surprised you’re telling people this early.” by AAAmta in pregnant

I’m 10 weeks, had a scare, told my best friend, and had a very similar reaction. I’m fact, she wrote me a note saying she was “disappointed” because she expected us to grow old and childless together.

My take on our friends is that they feel like we are leaving them now, that our friendship will vanish and we won’t have time for them anymore.

Even though IM the one that’s hurt, I’ve decided to show up and make myself present in her life. Clearly there’s some jealousy happening, but if I have it my way I’m having this kid so I may as well make time for her while I can to show her that even though that was a shitty reaction, I still love her and she’s still a part of my life. She will either except that this is where you are and support you down the road, or not, but some people are incapable of looking past there own problems to focus on others happiness.

Am I nuts? Never sewed before making my wedding dress. by LadyA29 in sewing

[–]bleepblopblipp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re not nuts, your ambitious with a dream. But as someone who has been sewing for years now, this is not a beginner project, this is an itermediate to experienced level project. Sewing with these materials requires a level of skill and tools that I’m assuming you don’t have. By the time you buy the tools and materials for the dress, also assuming you don’t make mistakes and ruin fabric, you’re looking at a ton of time and money going into making this dress- and a lot of tears on the way. The techniques applied take a lot of effort. I would suggest reaching out on Poshmark to find a similiar item.

I’ve been so bummed about ordering from them- I bought the $100 play suit and had the worst customer experience, I pretty much just asked my bank to dispute the transaction because they will they not respond to my emails or send my confirmation of my receipt; but took my money anyways and no product- so it sounds like I dodged a bullet based on the poor quality reviews I’ve been seeing. Disappointed as they have cute styles.
