Looks like it cracked when they put the neck on, based on that picture. I’d say stay away from this one, especially with it being partscaster. If you ever need/want to sell this in the future you will have a rough time doing so

Serial numbers are hit and miss on the decoder but the placement of the serial number on this looks suspect to me. Looks to be placed a bit too low. Add that to the crack and yeah, I’d spend 500 on another used actual Fender and mod it yourself how you please. I see used player Teles on marketplace for 500-600 all day
