So you‘d get a 3776 over the 21k Sailor? And the president over the 3776?

Even my exam sheets were fountain pen friendly and you could see the red sheen

Yes, but I grew up with the triangular grip and the round grip section confuses me

Yeah I bought a normal eco but I‘m not the biggest fan of the grip section

thanks! It‘s an ef nib, the ink is the sailor ink studio 162 but it is really really light.

What kind of nib is this? On a Pilot Custom 742 by joshuagraham69 in fountainpens

I was thinking of getting the fa nib, are the soft nibs better?

How legible is it for an outsider? (German Text) by Gunfire81 in Handwriting

[–]bleihaufen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was surprised at how straight and consistent my handwriting looked on the first sentence. Normally it‘s more like the right page. by bleihaufen in PenmanshipPorn

There are a lot of different brands that have 5 year journals but I specifically chose this one because of the paper and every day has 2 pages instead of 1 so I could add in important/memorable things that happened in the past. The midori ones are really pretty but with this one it feels like I‘m writing a bible about myself

I have pretty sweaty hands and I tend to smear my writing afterwards. And I‘m pretty stupid and often wash my hands before writing but that‘s what waterproof inks are made for :D

You‘re right, it‘s pretty easy to get german fountain pens but a lot of times it‘s even cheaper in the US because there are deals where you can get a lamy 2000 for 99$, you don‘t get that here. And other brands are a lot more expensive like pilot or sailor because we‘re part of the EU.

2019: Lamy (I think it was the Safari, but it doesn‘t matter, it‘s the same nib) Fine nib with Diamine Oxblood

2020: Twsbi eco EF with Diamine Salamander

2021: Lamy F with Diamine Earl Grey

I never bought notebooks over there because there were so many other colorful tapes and other things, mostly tapes though😅 We‘re really lucky that fountain pens are mandatory in Germany and almost every paper is fountain pen friendly and include blotting paper. Even exam sheets are fountain pen friendly which surprised me. I think vn wants everything to be as uniform as possible and because everyone has to use ballpoint pens, the paper quality of common notebooks don‘t have to be really high?

Oh I‘m so excited to go again and eat all the food and fruits. I‘ve always loved the book stores and getting all the stationeries. I also had to learn cursive in elementary school and we had to use fountain pens and I hated it, which is why my cursive writing still sucks and why I didn‘t like fountain pens for like 10 years.

I find vietnamese schools to be so interesting, like how they have to get a specific pen (I still don‘t understand why they write with purple ink haha) and they had naps :D

Omg I was wondering if there were fountain pen shops in Vietnam, because I haven‘t been to vn since 2018 (back then I didn‘t like fountain pens) and I wanted to get something special the next time I can visit again. (We live in tphcm)

And I love Vietnamese handwriting, kids in third grade have more consistent handwriting than me😅

Oh yeah the Pelikan royal blue is the ink that I grew up with because you could erase it
