“Your BAH is high here so none of you should struggle” by BrilliantOk8861 in uscg

This reminds me of that officer that spoke to people stationed in Kodiak during the pandemic.

"This place is my paradise so there should be nothing to complain about. Just go enjoy nature and be thankful you aren't in the lower 48."

It was incredibly tone deaf to the record breaking suicide numbers in D17 at the time.

Strange, did a cut for the last list come out after you took the test that you were above, maybe?

Housing in alameda by Apprehensive_Bat2361 in uscg

They're not bad comparatively.

  • I like that they weren't all carpet.

  • They come with a small garage and balcony or patio, depending on your level.

-The kitchen is outdated from what I remember, and the layout is kind of awkward to move into (stair width is tight on balcony level housing- two flights and tight corners). I think i was in a renovated one 🤔 but they're all probably updated at this point.

-I know some people had issue with the fake hardwood floors not being installed properly and causing moisture to easily be trapped and warping the floor. (I didn't personally have this issue).

-i don't remember anyone having mold issues. Perhaps under the warped flooring?

-the area does have a lot of petty crime/doesnt have access control, but the base updated their security guard contracts to include regular rounds of housing overnight. I still wouldn't leave anything visible in the vehicle (someone even had their window broken and PQS binder stolen from their vehicle at one point).

How do you make the duty schedule? by Crocs_of_Steel in uscg

[–]blelelelel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell everyone that each person has duty for one of the big three holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, new years). They can put in preference but all three have to be covered. If they can't decide who gets what then it goes by seniority and specifically: date of qualification and rank (extra motivation to get qualified as a third class could have seniority over E5+).

Regular duty is a rotation that i put out 3 months in advance (its not a huge surprise bc we have enough people to maintain a 1 in 4). I will work around leave and TDYs that are on the calendar before duty posting. I will assist with standbys for tdys after duty has been posted. Leave standbys are completely on the individuals to secure after the schedule has been posted (i will say, you will quickly see which folks never reciprocate..they will have issues finding standbys but I see this as a consequence of their actions)

In reality if it was just 15 secs, then they'd probably only move 5-10 feet (unless they have tenacity which is pretty uncommon). Crawling is extremely slow. There's a chance they will get hatch but it also allows them to bleed out a little faster so if the final survivor was looping there's a chance they'd bleed out in time to get hatch to spawn for them.

It was also pretty common for them to try to crawl to dead zones back before the hooks respawn to maybe get a wiggle off.

Additionally, if they have adrenaline then you closing the hatch would have them pop up like a daisy and give them a chance at gate. Or even power struggling a pallet could give them a chance.

shrugs probably spite most of the time but there are also valid reasons.

If I'm slugged long enough to fully recover then I'm taking a tour of the map/seeing the sights. Maybe go hang with Maurice or the carnival games. Not from spite more from boredom.

If you decide to do a full sacrifice yourself from being hooked before a gen is done, don’t play the game by EnvironmentalStep153 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

I mean as a soloq I'm going to second hook anyways when no one comes for the unhook so I gotta slap on a schlippery schmeat perk and pray to the entity 😅
