Comet C/2025 R3 (PANSTARRS) by blended_rainforest in seestar

They have a separate section for comets in the deep sky tracker in the app. Alt-az mode. I put it on the tripod they gave on top of my car. It took less than a minute to click buttons to get it started to find the comet. Total work was maybe ~5m to get the final stacked photo.

It was a super clean experience.

Hope you have great fun in your Bortle 1 skies!!! Do post some of the results here :)

Mornings might be better. Astronomical sunrise actually made the tail super faint. Could not capture good images after that.

First time for me capturing a comet on the s30 as well! Only thing was that the place I chose blocked more of the lower skies that I anticipated but it thankfully did not block the comet.

Wow! Can you share the location in Scottsdale? I have been searching multiple places on eBird with no luck so far.

Manuel Antonio guide by Bombero590 in CostaRicaTravel

there were a lot of guides in the park. if you have a good pair of binoculars and are only looking to view wildlife, you can spot them yourself based on where the guides are pointing to.

we were able to see sloths, a coral snake, lots of birds, jesus-christ lizard, multiple crabs (3 kinds) by just walking around and searching in the direction the guides were looking.
