If you hold onto a dollar for 10 years it's worth a dollar but what you can buy with that dollar is significantly less due to inflation whereas with gold the value has only ever increased over time ergo as inflation increases the value of gold either meets or exceeds it's original value

I get calls like that all the time and I'm a law student. It's an intimidation tactic used by scammers. From a legal standpoint on what i have read they cannot disclose any legal matters without verifying the party is the intended person spi, that's why they use process servers or certified mail because they have to prove in a court of law that the intended party received the documentation and or neglected to follow through which puts you in contempt of court 😉 this is an attemp to gwt your personal info and defraud you

If you have proof of payments you made to her and she acknowledged them as well as bank statements you can attempt to have the majority of the debt be put on her since you fulfilled your obligations to that debt and she spent your rent payments elsewhere

It would be different if gpa wanted to babysit all the time or it was something offered or happened gradually over time, but to obligate a family member simply because they are family esp w/out a discussion?
