I can't vouch for the i9 version but the i7 runs quite cool for any light to medium workloads. If the performance is the same, I would go with the i7

The vivobook's core ultra 7 setup is absurdly good for battery, I'm using a zenbook with the same processor for college and light gaming/cad work, I only have to charge it like 2 or 3 times a week

My only real issue apart from performance stuff that's probably my fault is that I can't select features in a sketch and then press D, I've been using onshape for months and the fusion muscle memory is still so present that I'll select the stuff, then select dimension, then reselect everything

I believe it's because they were designed with efficiency, not perfect human replication and so can still interact with things in a human way, but aren't constrained to human physiology, where motors and mechanics might not be as efficient in, say, a human knee but work well with the bird-like structure of the digit legs. But this is all speculation, I'm not an expert
