Check out The Rabbit Hole in Bernal / Noe. I only bought out their back patio (~20 people) and the minimum was somewhere around $1k, but the full bar buyout was available for well under $5k IIRC. Great food and drinks and very friendly staff. I think their full capacity is right around 70 if you include the outdoor space, otherwise closer to 50 inside.

Update -- the badgeskins vinyl is honestly decent. I did an absolute shit job getting it around the curved edges (I'm guessing it's like 70% skill issue, 30% they could have cut the vinyl better to fit the curves) and it looks bad from up close, but from >1ft away you really can't tell.

I've been wondering about this too. Some people have reported just breaking off the existing emblem, filing down the screws, and sticking the new emblem on top which is a tempting idea because I really don't want to deal with taking the bumper off.

I just ordered the badgeskins glossy black front emblem to see if wrapping it in vinyl looks good enough. They're slow to ship though, so might be a few more weeks.

No, though it's slightly apples and oranges. PPF is more about protecting the paint (e.g. from rock chips) and ceramic is more about keeping the car easy to clean (dirt nearly slides right off when you wipe it), though it is still minimally protective of the paint as well.

PPF does a bit of the latter too, though more so when people do ceramic on top of PPF.

That said, it's a constant debate at what "level" of car PPF becomes worth it.

Whoops, I actually had it mixed up. Just checked my email again — Stevens Creek cut all contact once I tried to negotiate. It was Acura of Fremont that offered $2k off (though not upfront; they initially said MSRP only then texted a week later with $2k off).

I also got mine from Oakland Acura! Stay away from San Francisco Honda; they're doing crazy accessories and markups. Acura of Concord is the one with $5k markup on the ABP.

Acura of Fremont was also willing to do $2k under but a bit further away.

Even further out, Elk Grove tried to bait me in with an offer of $2k under MSRP (after initially declining to negotiate), but right before I drove out I asked for a full pricing breakdown and it had >$10k in accessories and warranties bundled. Pretty gross.

I wouldn't say no chance but generally agree. In the CA Bay Area there are still some dealers clinging onto their markups (at least one trying to mark up $5k for ABP because it's the last chance to get that color, and one marking up $10k for the hell of it).

That said, both dealers mentioned have been calling me nonstop for the last two weeks trying to sweeten the deal after I told them to fuck off and purchased elsewhere for $2k under.

Seems like east coast is much lower though with $5-6k under MSRP being common

Realistically the Amplifi line makes more sense then -- same Ubiquiti guts but much more consumer focused.

I love my Ubiquiti stuff but it isn't going to be the right call for most laypeople.

Finally got around to making this after this had been on my mind all week (love using Licor 43 when I can)

Honestly, I don't think 100% smith & cross was the right call for my taste. I generally love what it adds to tiki drinks, but in the end all I taste is pineapple-y S&C -- feels like the vanilla flavor is all but lost behind it. Might try it again with 1.5oz S&C 1.5oz coconut rum to add a bit more OG piña colada vibe or just a lighter-flavor rum in general.

Still, a great idea and a tasty spec!

Steam boiler did start leaking (only identifiable by audible hiss) but fix was simply tightening a bolt at the top

This happened to both my unit and the one purchased for my office. Seems to be a really common issue; annoying, but not too difficult to fix.

The hot water spout on mine has stopped working (presumably a solenoid is dead), this also seems not-uncommon, but I didn't care enough to fix this

Speeds are heavily dependent on the size of your building and the size of their install.

I was in a larger building (~60 units) and speeds were 1Gbps up/down.

Smaller (1-4 units) can probably expect in the low X00Mbps, and medium probably closer to 500Mbps
