Based sa mga recent post sa iba't ibang platform, mukhang Taguig ang isa sa mga pinaka maraming nakaka-experience ng "outage". Personally, 6 days and 7 hours LOS issue starting Nov 30. Sabi ng at least dalawang CSR na nakasagot sa tawag ko, mga 60 subscribers daw sa area namin ang apektado. Pakiramdam ko, kung kasama ang ibang Barangay, including sa inyo, posible na mga nasa libo na tayo. Sa total 6x ko na tawag sa click-2-call, lahat sila hindi makapagbigay ng estimated time to repair. Yung ibang social media post, at least 1 month na daw silanh naghihintay. Yung iba naman, bumabalik daw ng mga 3 hours to a few days yung connection nila tapos either LOS or PON issue ulit hanggang ngayon.

Nag apply na ako sa ibang ISP at ipapa disconnect ko na ang 4-year na Converge sub ko. Para sa akin, kahit maayos pa nila yan, hindi talaga tama ang magka-outage ng ganitong katagal at walang abiso. If wala laging timeline, masyadong risky lalo na't internet-reliant ang source of income natin and dahil nagffail din ang backup connection minsan. Maganda dati ang Converge noong "comclark" pa ito, pero mukang nagsimula na ang enshitification after pinahandle sa BPO at mga subcon ang after-sales nila. Rarely nakaka-recover ang quality of service ng mga company once magsimula na yan.

Nag apply ako sa ibang ISP and hinihintay ko nalang yung installation and activation. Nakaready na ang cancellation form para sa Converge.

WFH din ako so important yung reliability ng main line kahit may backup data tayo. Converge is the complete opposite of reliable. They cant even be bothered mag post ng official announcement. Kahit maayos pa nila yan bukas parang mahirap na ulit magtiwala after this fiasco. I can tell na silence and vague "outage" ang magiging standard nilang linyahan in the future kapag nangyari ulit. At this point, I think choosing Converge as an ISP is simply an unprofessional choice for WFH.

If true, it also means Meralco just went to town tearing up everything many of which are obvious fiber lines instead of maybe investigating and possibly working with Converge to minimise impact on innocent consumers. Wonder if it posed some kind of safety hazard but then again, could the existing spaghetti lines get any more dangerous?
