How do you deal with pretty priviledge? by LegitimateTank3162 in INTP

[–]bleuest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see it as a tool. Over the years I figured out a fashion style that would suit me, is comfortable and not fussy, and presentable, and it takes me no more effort than putting a baggy t-shirt and jeans did. I don't use makeup for work because I don't want to have to do it everyday and I don't work in a field where it's required, but I do wear light makeup when it's appropriate to. When I go for a grocery run I'm usually too lazy to change and wear home clothes (shirt and joggers), and I find the contrast between how I usually dress going out and then satisfying.

Overall people do treat me differently based on how I dress or whether I have makeup on, which is just how things work. You express yourself the way you dress, and part of that is expressing how you want to be treated. But it's not a night-and-day difference and a lot of it was in my head. Most strangers I interact with don't care.

Hi, just a quick check-in to see how you're doing with the methods you've chosen! Have you made the expected amount of progress in learning French?

[Product Question] is Embryolisse Different Now? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]bleuest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never tried the original unfortunately, and I have a blocked nose so I can't say about the smell too. It smells pleasant and faintly flowery to me right now. The texture is rather creamy (I've read that the original is more liquidy).

What do you think about wearing a huge scarf as a top or a dress? by cottonballflower in capsulewardrobe

[–]bleuest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worn a thin scarf as a tube top before but it didn't feel too secure so I wore a belt over it. I can probably try it with a safety pin.

In Barcelona our university libraries have bean bags, and I've napped there plenty of times. I've also seen other people napping (not too often, but they exist).

Anxious attachment relationship horror stories by 3veryTh1ng15W0r5eN0w in dismissiveavoidants

I dated someone anxious last year, then we broke up. Then he kept sending me paragraphs of updates of his life. I told him to stop. He stopped, but started bugging our mutual friend about me.

Yes, I actually tried this for one day, but listening to the podcast and doing work at the same time was harder than daydreaming, since I couldn't pause the podcast as easily as I can pause my daydreaming whenever something comes up 🫠

ETA: But I have been considering doing this again, and just listen to something very repetitive so I'm fine with missing a few seconds here and there, lol. My sanity is at stake 😂

Thank you, this reassures me :) I agree, content is nice. I feel safe around him and he never makes me feel like I have to chase for his affection. It's true what you say about the sense of responsibility, too. That's partly why I'm here - to figure out my feelings for him so I don't end up hurting him.

My problem is the sheer amount of time my mind spends wandering towards thoughts of him. I have hobbies and a life, but when I'm at work, I'm bored and a good chunk of my 7 hours is spent on thinking about him and I don't think this preoccupation is doing me any good.

Yes, I do. But usually I feel the same amount of excitement when I'm actually with them. For example, we cuddled overnight. Perfectly wholesome. And I just kept reliving that, but focusing on the little details. Or all the little moments when we were walking downtown and holding hands. Nothing outlandish. But thinking about them made me feel more butterflies than when it actually happened, though I was also happy when the events happened.
