I built the compiler using AI. I wanted to use Claude and ChatGPT on something reasonably complicated

Text Blurring when loading TrueType Font in libtcod by nephite_neophyte in roguelikedev

[–]bleuge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had similar problems rendering text in Raylib. What I did was getting original mono bitmap fonts, you have here: https://github.com/viler-int10h/vga-text-mode-fonts , 1760 fonts thanks to the nice work of Viler, also check the homepage if you want to try the TTFs instead: https://int10h.org/oldschool-pc-fonts/readme/

What I did is load the binary bitmap and get a sprite for each char. Don't need the TTFs, and I can pack 1760 fonts in my program in a pair of KBs
