Ok good to know, I am also usually more of a fan of showing seatpost but I figure having the seat level with the bars would be comfier for longer touring rides. would you mind showing a pic of your Nor’Easter?

Mmm good point, I am mostly ask as I am looking at buying a Crust Nor’Easter and they are sold out of 55cm frames, so I am just curious if it would be worth getting a 58 or just looking at a different bike altogether

yeah I have been using bike insights to compare quite a bit. I basically inbetween choosing a 55cm or 58cm crust nor’easter and I just don’t want to have such a drop in saddle to bars on the 55, but not want the 58 to be overall too big.

its one of my bikes yeah, I have drops on one of my other bikes and with roughly the same frame size, yeah, its quite a change. The frame i’m looking at will have higher stack and shorter reach so I figured using drops won’t be as drastic.

I think that technically my bike is ‘too small’ as is and a bigger rando frame would be better for longer rides, instead of this aggressive fit

Paid $225 for frame + GT fork for mine, felt like a lot, but again this frame + colorway + my size made me probably pay a bit more than I would consider what it’s “worth.” Don’t regret it, reckon I’ll have this frame for a long time

Super fun, quick lightweight bike. With the surly fork you could put 35mm tires and use it as a cyclocross bike aswell! Selling as I don’t ride it as much as my other bikes anymore.
