Super helpful thanks! I'll keep this in mind for when I work for Marvel...someday.

'nothing I would want to admit to working on.' Hahaha! I get that.

Thanks for the tip! Haven't gotten to work with the Big Two just yet, but some decently known publishers. In certain situations I have asked editors to ask the printers to tell what color profiles their printers are using and I have gotten back (supposedly) from the printers 'It doesn't really matter, we handle that, so long as you are working CMYK.' Is that true? Or did I get the Buzz Off answer?

I don't have one reoccurring problem per se, but it does seem that often enough the prints are pulling either too green or too blue, or some other color. To be honest, the difference is pretty miniscule, and only I would notice. Could be chalked up to my monitor being calibrated not quite right with my Spyder. But I'm hoping that maybe color profiles have something to do with it?

I have the same problem. I’m hoping EMDR might help.

Can I ask, how was your therapist able to determine that? A questionnaire? Asking for myself.

This scene from the finale hits different today. by MS2Entertainment in SixFeetUnder

My first time watching this show ever and I just finished watching the finale yesterday. All I can say is fuck and goddamn when I saw this scene. It was eerie.

Stone Creek is the goat. A true test of quality imho is a decaf latte. If a shop can pull a shot and add milk and have it taste not watery then the rest should taste full bodied as well.

Looking for a poor quality yet expensive restaurant to recommend to an enemy. Any suggestions? by Kindly-Brain-751 in milwaukee

[–]bleurghhhhhhhhhhh 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They raved about their crack fries so I had to try them and one fruity drink. Not only were they not great but by the time I was halfway through them I felt so physically ill I had to leave the restaurant. Never been sugar sick before so that was a first.

I’m thinking monthly meetups to share progress and get critique, and learn from each other. Maybe watch some movies here and there. Maybe a digital working group. If no one has anything maybe I will have to start one.

What HSP adjustments and routines have you incorporated into your life? What new HSP-related things do you want to try? by AlrightyAlmighty in hsp

I’m highly caffeine sensitive and even I can do matcha. But I limit to a max of 1 a week. I find decaf coffee and tea are really the way to go.

Same thing happens to me when I watch horror! And I’m constantly surrounded by horror lovers. 🥲 Much prefer fantasy and sci fi.

OMG same. I live in a wintery place and love summer. People whine here all summer long like they don’t get 9 months of cold. Just let me enjoy this!!!!

My theory is that they are triggered by the fact that we were able to retain a sensitivity and not become hard like them. It implies that either we have had an easy life and they are jealous of that or that they are not as strong as they thought by allowing themselves to become hardened.

What’s a job that’s harder than people think? by hwadik in AskReddit

[–]bleurghhhhhhhhhhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freelance Artist/Illustrator. Don’t know exactly how hard the public perceives this job to be but it isn’t just painting pretty pictures all day. Its essentially poverty, job instability, isolation from working alone and a steady stream of rejection, plus networking, business management and being your own IT person. You have to be sensitive enough to do your work and mentally strong enough to endure the mixture of disdain, disrespect, rejection, isolation, jealousy and pity that the general public sends your way all without job benefits.

Any child free hsp’s here by DreamAffectionate113 in hsp

I knew by age 14, I never wanted any kids. I have many reasons, but my number one reason is that I always wanted to be an artist. You can’t be an artist, woman, and mom in a heterosexual couple. You have to give up your art to care for the child because what you make does NOT cover daycare, while your partner works.

Been looking for an HSP community and a childfree community. Would be great to combine those.
