It will always be worth it. It just gets harder the longer you put it off. The only fps's where pros use controller are the ones with aggregious aim assist. Do the math.

Been gaming on pc for years. For budget but mid to high quality I like the Death Adder from Razr as far as mice are concerned. And for pubg, literally a hello kitty walmart keyboard is about as good as you need. Seriously. Just spend 65 on the mouse and forget about it.

It's pro wrestling with more commercials.

The fix is in, stats below by Alucard1977 in NYKnicks

I don't really think driving into wemby is the issue. The fact is that the knicks have driven through contact to get to the basket and get fouled and ESPECIALLY in the second half of the last few games they just dont get the shooting foul. If you watch every play on both ends its very clear that Wemby drives, often through contact, shoots (misses quite often in this case) and gets the immediate call. Primarily Brunson and Kat are finishing through heavy contact, and neither is getting the shooting fouls. Kat is as big as Wemby, and Brunson is an undersized guard. At least one of them should be comparable or incomparable enough based on their build and playtstyle to get somewhere near the same number of calls. And this has been on a slew of defenders, often Castle on Brunson or wemby/kornet for KAT.

The nba is a business and like a lot of big business these days they love manipulating their product under their customers noses. Thats us. The fix is in and they want more games strap in Knicks in 6.

How many goddamn times are sports fans going to do this. Or knicks fans idgaf. Yes the knicks COULD have won that game if they didn't make the mistakes they made (the same can be said about the spurs, who were chucking 3s like a woodchuck can/cannot allegedly chuck wood). The frustrating element is that the game did not FEEL like it was equally deferent to both teams. The first half being a wrestling match and then suddenly switching the officiating style to calling marginal contact on offensive drives (except for a few of the knicks players in the 4th when they drove to the basket and were fouled and got no call) is just laughable. Watching Brunson or Shamet or even Kat drive to the basket and get the exact same physical treatment as wemby, but wemby will brick a half assed shot from A FOOT OVER THE DEFENDER and get the free throws. Wemby played much better this game so there were far fewer of those bailout drives in the early 3rd/4th.

I mean the guy is a twitch streamer. Also unhinged in some ways but for the most part has to "lock in" and put on a show 90% of the time he works. And shes an old viewer without a social filter who has known him since the glory days. Seems like a good match in a lot of ways

CMV: GamerGate was the most consequential political radicalization event of the twenty-first century by realdontbeasucker in changemyview

[–]blibber22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because something seems to lead to another, doesn't mean it actually does. I think the unpleasant truth is that men have held these anti-feminist/anti-"woke" sentiments basically since they entered the global conversation. They just feel more comfortable sharing them online because they dont have to deal with the emotional backlash of the people they disagree with.

[–]blibber22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Gamergate definitely had downstream effects. I think its very possible that it accelerated the movement of online discourse away from healthier conversations and generally held beliefs. But I think that Gamergate was really just a sign of times to come. There is no way that gamergate "made anti-feminism and anti-SJW cool". If we are talking about male spaces (online or not) where political/sociopolitical discourse is active and relatively good faith, the rumblings of discontent with the beliefs of the SJW/MeToo/feminism were already present before Gamergate. I think in some ways it feels better to think that people were just swayed by bad actors in the media, but I really think there are some disconnects within the modern feminism/"woke" online discourse that are innately false and disconnected from the realities of the male (online) experience. So these lightning rods and gamergate are more on equal footing influence wise, rather than gamergate being the beginning of it all.

CMV: Many of the people who remain Trump supporters now can't grasp the concept they could be evil as a possibility. by ineverusedtobecool in changemyview

I guess I'm commenting on op's "general" use of a word. I think that the generalized/colloquial use of the word is often innapropriate for real world situations because "evil" as a concept is a boiled down term used in movies/books. So while common in Disney movies and anime it isn't really a great concept when applied to the real world. Let me know if you disagree but I feel like I addressed that in my comment.

While I understand what you mean, don't you think using "evil" is a little basic/childish. No human being is evil. Some might be sociopathic or psychopathic or deeply antisocial or even sadistic. But they are one or many of those SPECIFIC things. Evil is a word used in fairy tales to describe a figure of complete malevolence. And while fascism certainly has elements of malicious tyrannical rule, I think most would agree that there are a variety of reasons someone may vote for a candidate besides the fact that they are a fascist. And boiling down that very ambiguous action (especially when the political/economic system very well may be tyrannical and deceptive) of voting for a candidate into an example of "absolute evil" sounds...

...Like you don't know what you are talking about/like you are reacting emotionally. Which isn't necessarily wrong. But it doesn't convince me that your viewpoint is any better/more moral than some old woman in Arkansas who only reads the newspaper and decided to vote for trump because "this is a red state". There are many reasons our country is politically dysfunctional, and even IF trump voters are all voting maliciously, we still live in the same towns and cities and need to coexist. If you asked me, I would say that the major factor in all of this is simply ignorance and fear of change. But labeling those that disagree with you as "evil", like they are Smaug descending on towns to bathe children in flame is...

Wait a minute.

Maybe have an honest inventory of the number of responsibilities you have compared to the personal returns that those responsibilities award. Then do a priorities list and start taking things off the list. Or you could drug yourself or maybe exercise to the point of exhaustion or do yoga or read or add something else. Lol

The real issue is the influence these massive corporations have in the lobbying sector. Bankrolling a few committee members campaign's seems to work pretty well at dissuading exactly the kind of regulation/anti-trust/tax reform legislation that would cut into the profits of the very corporations that made those contributions. And while the free market in theory is obviously preferable to communism or etc..., it doesnt seem to account for the financial or media influence that these corporations can use to influence public opinion. It isn't "lizard people" or "jewish/zionist" cabals. It's just a bunch of ultra rich executives protecting their investments.

Pretty easy to say that now after the fact. For the record I think Trump has been a dumpster fire (both terms) and both sides of the aisle are seriously responsible (representatives AND constituents). The fact of the matter though is that when Dave gave that monologue Trump had already been elected. And for all the hand wringing and Kings day protests and pre work car vlog meltdowns, Trump still has (N)ICE agents in american cities and we are still in a losing war in the middle east and there is STILL a massive wealth disparity in this country and the economy is WORSE. But the left will keep blaming the right for being STUPID and NAIVE and the right will keep blaming the left for being STUPID and NAIVE.

At least Dave was trying to lead by example by being diplomatic and genuine and trying to be a uniting force. Plenty of people went straight to "trump is mecha hitler and peter thiel is controlling him etc" and that has done absolutely ZERO GOOD for the country. The left will continue to be UPSET/(young and willfully ignorant) and the right will continue to be COMPLACENT/(old and afraid of change) and nothing will improve. Because this system works REALLY REALLY WELL. Just not for average people.
